Yea, it's best kept in-house if anything. If someone were to walk past, while another was telling a racist joke, they would see it in the context of a joke.. They live a David Beckham lifestyle when they haven't even made a handful of first team appearances. Hmm.. We just need to see more of him to be honest. I'd like him to get a run alongside Terry so he can work on positioning, I'd be very nervous if he was paired with Cahill instead. I kind of feel we will incur a CB crisis. Ivanovic doesn't look like playing CB any time soon, we know about Cahill and Terry could pack up soon enough. Zouma is cover, but we don't know about the future of Kalas (if he's even ready!). We're going to need to sign at least 2 competent, world class, CBs soon enough.

Agreed, I think a two-year extension isn't unreasonable. He seems like he would be respectful of Mourinho if he was to be benched in that time, if he recognised there was better talent ahead of him. Zouma and Cahill aren't ready. Even if Varane came, I'd still want Terry to mentor him.. He doesn't seem like he'd complain a la Lampard under AvB

Too early to make any sort of assessment. Both that he'd be world class or that he's "the lukaku of CB".. He's actually more athletic than he is physical (have you seen the height on his jump for example?).

When I have time I will show you, off the top of my head I can't remember specific games and goals. I'm not even discussing this season, I'm talking about last season and even before. It's not scapegoating at all, because even when he was put on a pedestal here I was saying the same thing and so were others.. It's not a bandwagon movement. I'm not saying he makes this mistake all the time, as I said before, he is a good defender. He does his job professionally and us having one of the best defensive records last season was why he was in the team of the season.. I've never said he's shit. But he's not world-class and we can/should do better.
