  1. I really thought we could give this kid a chance, he looked like he had good pace.. Our own Theo Walcott. It's always a shame to see a good young talent go, but such is the way of football. Good Luck kid!
  2. Was made a scapegoat for the Kakuta fiasco. Shame really, he was a great asset to the club.
  3. Peter Kenyon has decided to resign from his position as non-executive director of Chelsea Football Club to focus on his full-time role with Creative Artists Agency. He leaves the post he took in November 2009, having previously served as CEO from 2004. Chairman Bruce Buck said: 'Peter presided over the club during a time of great success and unprecedented commercial growth, and subsequently, as non-executive director he was effective in representing Chelsea FC in our dialogue with world football bodies. 'I'd like to thank Peter for everything he's done for this football club and everyone here wishes him well for the future. He'll always be welcome back at Chelsea.' || ChelseaFC ||
  4. Another manager leaves a club because of transfer policies. Why don't they give managers 100% control of these things?! Good luck to O'Niell in his future, I'm sure wherever he goes he'll be a success.
  5. Seems Di Santo's been removed from the squad list with numbers entirely.. http://www.chelseafc.com/page/PlayerHome/0,,10268,00.html
  6. Oh, my bad then LOL You really do learn something new everyday
  7. I'm hoping him and Ramires will alternate as they go along on the pitch. Essien should start in that DM position, however when he goes forward he should tell Ramires to cover him and vice-versa.
  8. A Tottenham fan on a Chelsea forum? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. You should quit now mate.
  9. Isn't the rule, the player has to train with the same CLUB to be counted as homegrown?
  10. Probably being rested? He has just come back from the u19 championships, I think we want to give him an extended break.
  11. He won't count as our homegrown player if we sign him.
  12. Is The Metro actually serious?! They're saying Rooney is back to his old form from this game? It's ridiculous! I mean read it for yourselves! http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/837456-wayne-rooney-back-in-the-old-routine
  13. Oh yes.. If Anelka doesn't have a good game then I'd like to see him on for Anelka. I don't think we should risk using the Drog either way
  14. I think we're a bit too skeptical about Terry's performances. He's still a great, inspirational, captain but his form has to be highlighted. I'm concerned about the game next weekend because he's taking part in the England game, it means he won't be 100% fit.
  15. ....................................Cech............................ Ivanovic...........Alex..............Terry..........Cole ...................Ramires/Mikel/Essien............... ........Essien/Ramires.............Lampard........ Benayoun................Anelka...............Malouda That's how I'd like to see us line up.. In terms of subs I'd like to see Kakuta for Malouda,Mikel/Ramires on for the otherKalou for Benayoun (I think Kalou is a much better impact sub)
  16. Okay, despite the scoreline looking bad I think to say we were "battered" is very harsh. We were always in the game, especially when we made it 2-1, it's unfortunate Berba scored in the last minute because I felt we had another goal within us. It's not the worse performance we've put in, the goalkeeper situation came into it again, Hilario had a better game but I still think we need a better 2nd keeper. Everyone sitting there around me was very disappointed with Kalou. We saw him cause United trouble but that was it, he didn't make many chances for himself at all and for him to score was quite lucky (we all felt). Though we are glad he did We also thought Carlo took a positive risk taking off Anelka and bringing on Sturridge, it shows Carlo is serious about promoting the youth.
  17. Better late than never? We've got enough quality in defence to play until his arrival.
  18. Will give a chance for Joe Hart to get a push. He was a good keeper before his blunders, good luck to him. Chances of Turnbull getting a nod?
  19. LOL guys chill. We've agreed the fee and everything so I'm sure, whatever is delaying it will be sorted soon. We've still got 2/3weeks before the window closes so there's plenty of time to sign him as a Chelsea player
  20. Something to get people into the mood for his arrival.. Another great video from Gilvorak http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxdbUXeS37g
  21. Wait.. Is McEachran not on the bench then? I was hoping we'd get to see a bit of him..
  22. So apparently we were supposed to sign him before the injury scare happened. If you do believe such trash you can read it here. Personally, I don't believe a word of it.
  23. No need for that.. He's just giving his opinion. But I think we'll win this. There's something about a Chelsea vs Manchester United match that makes players forget what form their team is in and just play to win. United might have that bit of confidence from cheap wins vs easy teams (which means they're about to get a very nice reality check). However we have a team that's more or less the same as what we had win last season. It's a good team to send out for a curtain raiser, Ivanovic at centre back makes me happy because if he plays well at a position he's not primarily built for then imagine how he'll do in his natural position.
