How on earth did this discussion end up on Kakuta?! This is about Bruma remember!
-
What?! Anelka is a great asset to our squad, if you actually watch him play you'd know how great his movement is, yes he's not scoring as many as Drogba (don't forget he won the Golden Boot in the 08-09 season!) but if you watch him play you see how useful he is to our squad. He openly said he prefers playing wide, and he's not bad at it, he's able pick out great passes and assist Drogba Kalou is actually a good talent to have in our squad. He's not as bad as some fans make him out to be, I do however think he's better as an impact sub than he is starting.

Injury Latest - Terry, Sturridge & Romeu out injured.

Does that mean there's a chance he, Drogba, will feature in the Community Shield? -
Sorry mate, forgot to go through.

Benfica midfielder Ramires has pleaded with the club to resolve his transfer to Chelsea and release him for his "dream move" to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea's bid of €20 million is on the table and the Brazilian star is waiting to hear whether or not it is going to be accepted. However, the player has now spoken out in the hope that his desire to move to England gets the ball rolling. "I know there has been a bid for me from Chelsea, this is a great honour, it is like a dream come true,'' he said in quotes obtained by Soccernet. "I have dreamt of playing in the Premier League and now to have the opportunity to play for the best team in the Premier League and for a club with so much history - it would be my dream. "I hope this can happen, and I hope that I can help Chelsea to regain the Double and also to win the Champions League next season "I am looking forward to playing with the likes of John Terry, Petr Cech, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba, they are amongst the best in the world, to play with players like this under a manager of the stature of Carlo Ancelotti whom I admire and respect, in a club with so much spirit and winning mentality, would be a tremendous privilege. || ESPN Soccernet || "In the process I would like everyone to know I had a fantastic year at Benfica, and I respect them a lot, but this is a dream that I cannot let go."

Straight up.. Anelka one-on-one is deadly!
-
They'll wait till Chelsea confirm the bid. With big teams like Chelsea there's always rumours going around about players wanting to leave their clubs for teams like us, remember they quote him from the Daily Mail in their story, so they'll wait till they confirm from Benfica/Chelsea that an official bid has been made.
-
That's because SkySports get their sources verified before reporting their stories. It's what makes them one of the most reliable football sources on the internet today, they don't bother putting rumours up, unless an official bid is confirmed, they don't report it.

Second that.
-
As long he signs, I don't mind if it's this week or next.
-
Haha with you on that.
-
Oh okay, surprised there's nothing on the website about it.. Still, I'm not complaining if they're playing
-
Nice stuff.. Bruma's definitely making a name for himself now
-
Where did this game come from?! Nothing on the Chelsea website?
-
Nono next season. Chelsea website says numerous times "joining us next season", so unless the Czech season finishes in January I think it will be from next August.
-
The "English" aspect I suppose. Don't want to look like Arsenal.

Hey hey hey, 3rd! Don't forget Kalas

Agree with a lot of the latest comments on this. Mikel is a great DM, especially because we had to mould him into one, the transition was great. At the same time, it wouldn't be the worst transfer in the world to get Ramires. We don't have to use him as a DM, it's well noted he can play on the right so he adds an extra versatility to our midfield. The prospect of having Essien, Ramires and Mikel in our midfield is a great thing, they're both defensive midfielder and two of them are much more attacking. It would be a great support to have for both strikers and defenders. Not to mention all 3 are both quite young and have many many seasons left in them
-
Aha exactly! We don't need him at all, we have enough defenders in my opinion.

Manchester City and Real Madrid are in a head to head battle to sign Benfica defender David Luiz , with City currently having made the highest offer. According to Spanish daily Marca, Manchester City have offered Benfica 33 million euros for the Brazilian. The Portugese giants are now waiting to see if Real Madrid will match the bid, having previously offered 28 million euros. The 23-year-old has been at Benfica his entire career and was particularly impressive last season as the side won the Portuguese title. Luiz is renowned as an intelligent, quick and strong defender. Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini scouted Luiz on a number of occasions last season, including when he played left-back against Liverpool in the Europa League quarterfinal. Mancini has already strengthened City's defence this summer with the signing of Lazio left-back Aleksandar Kolarov . It is thought that Luiz himself would prefer a move to the Bernabeu than Eastlands. Marca quotes him saying, "I would like to play with Kaka". || IMScouting ||

Manchester City on alert as Benfica tell Chelsea to improve £27m bid for defender David Luiz. Chelsea have been told they must stump up £33million to sign top defensive target David Luiz from Benfica. Sportsmail revealed on Saturday that Carlo Ancelotti has identified Luiz as the man he wants to plug the gap in the centre of Chelsea's defence. But Benfica, who are on the verge of selling midfielder Ramires to Chelsea in a £20m deal, are determined to play hard ball over Luiz who received his first call-up to the senior Brazil team yesterday by new coach Mano Menezes. Chelsea were ready to pay £27m to head off the formidable opponents of both Manchester City and Real Madrid in the race to sign one of Europe's most highly rated young defenders. And it remains to be seen whether Roman Abramovich is determined to go the extra mile for his manager who will be without injured defender Alex for the start of the season. With Ricardo Carvalho having signaled his desire for a move to the Bernabeu and a reunion with Jose Mourinho, Ancelotti could find himself short of numbers in central defence if Chelsea are unsuccessful in their big money move for Luiz. || Source ||

That would be one of the smartest transfers of the season!

What a pass! One of my Liverpool supporting friends has been hyping up Spain's Pacheco. I hope Kakuta out shines him come Sunday

I diagree. I think he's better than Mikel to be honest, I'll admit Mikel is a great player, he's shown much improvement in the recent season. However, Ramires has played much better especially for his nation team Brazil. Him and Gilberto at the world cup had a fantastic partnership for the team, a partnership I hope him and Essien can emulate. The great thing about that relationship is, they can support the attack as well as the back, Ramires is also a good goal scorer, he's got a good head. Unfortunately, Mikel's not that good in that area.
