  1. I hope someone makes a compilation of Ricky at his finest.. Really an exceptional player, one of the BEST defenders to come out of Europe, period.
  2. I'm sure we could use Ramires to bait him here. I've read a few articles today saying Ramires has passed his medical, the delay was simply because of last nights game. He should be signing tomorrow after he flies in That article here
  3. But Carlo seems to want to mould Bruma into a right back. Even in the community shied.. We expect Ivanovic to be shifted to the right and Bruma to partner Terry but instead the reverse happened.
  4. Ah okay.. Well that works for us, I'm sure Robinho will tell him how crap life is at City.
  5. Perhaps the rumours of City have first refusal on him could be true, which is why Santos would continue to reject our bids?
  6. Let's trade Turnbull to sweeten the deal.
  7. Good call Manuf! Ramires looks superb in midfield.. He doesn't stop running and can play a killer ball. He looks to be one of our greater signings in recent times! Neymar's pace is extraordinary. Chelsea should really pursue in buying this kid, such exceptional talent for an 18 year old, he would fit perfectly into our squad. Luiz doesn't look half bad either. A good central defender, good sense of awareness and gets in some great blocks.
  8. 3 potential Chelsea players in Brazil squad tonight. 4 had Alex been picked
  9. I'm glad I don't believe in superstition then
  10. Just a TINY glimmer of what this great man was all about In 10years, when people speak of Chelsea legends.. John Terry, Frank Lampard, Marcel Desailly, Dennis Wise you bet your grandchildren Ricardo Carvalho will be up there with them.
  11. What a fantastic player! He is certainly a BIG Chelsea legend! John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho. Not too long ago, seeing those two names side-by-side was the most fearful sight for any team facing them. Ricardo was a big factor in our first ever Premier League title. We owe this man a massive Thank You for a great service to the club! I'm glad he's finishing his career under Jose at such a prestigious club. Good luck Ricardo Carvalho
  12. Him & Ramires are playing tonight for Brazil, tune in to see if they're as good as hyped!
  13. Will wait for Chelsea website/SkySports to confirm this. If so.. Only £8million?
  14. I love how people are surprised by stuff like this. It's typical scouse mentality, of course their players are the best in their positions..
  15. Against, what has to be said as, weak opposition! It's no wonder they had a better win/lose record in pre-season
  16. That's true, but there is still every chance Bremen will try to sell him before his contract expires so they can get as much money from him as possible. This is why I think if it came down to a bidding war, we would not be victorious.
  17. Oh I forgot to mention, I'll always have a special love for, the once great, Leeds United!
  18. Sven-Goran Eriksson, Gareth Southgate & Bob Bradley (USA Coach) have emerged as favourites to take the new role. I do love how Sven is linked to every available managerial job that turns up.. West Ham, Fulham, Wolves (once upon a time) & now Aston Villa!
  19. Thing is, we sold a lot of those players too. I'm just wondering what the difference would be if we compared it too all players we sold in the same time period.
  20. 2 sides to a coin there. There's a risk they'll come back tired and perhaps pick up some knocks. Capello made it clear he plans to play all the World Cup flops and encourages Wembley to "boo" them. So they come back demoralised as well! I'm glad players like Drogba and Essien won't be leaving though, let's hope everything goes smoothly.
  21. I don't see him coming to here to be honest. He's a great player which means big money and big competition will involved. I don't think we have the funds or the market power of teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid and ManUtd.
  22. Tony Pulis has revealed that Chelsea made contact over a move for Asmir Begovic but Stoke have no intention of selling. Ross Turnbull and Hilario have provided the back-up to Petr Cech since Carlo Ancelotti took charge at Stamford Bridge but the Blues manager now appears to be looking for another goalkeeper. Potters boss Pulis says Begovic had attracted their interest, just a few months after making the move to the Britannia Stadium from Portsmouth. Begovic struggled to dislodge Thomas Sorensen from between the posts during the second half of last season but is still highly regarded. Pulis insists Begovic will not be going anywhere as Stoke are looking to strengthen their squad rather than allow key men to leave. Speaking about Chelsea, Pulis told The Sentinel: "They have enquired, but they have been told he is not for sale. "We are trying to bring players in, not let our better players go." || SkySports ||
  23. Jesus.. There's a name for sore eyes.. I still remember that defence .....................................Cudicini............................. Melchiot............Desailly©........Terry.......Babayaro
  24. Exactly. We need better scouts if anything, we need to take a page out of United's book, have scouts across the globe and find boys like Hernandez and take a risk buying such players. It's the only way forward!
  25. I think it's very early to get so cynical about this deal. The deal with Benfica has been agreed and if we're just waiting on a work permit then that's fine.
