Benfica have confirmed they are in talks to sell Brazil international midfielder Ramires to Chelsea. The 23-year-old joined the Portuguese club last year and was an integral part of their championship-winning team. The Eagles said in a statement to the Lisbon stock exchange that the two clubs are working on a deal, but provided no further details. The estimated deal for the Samba star could be in the region of around £17million, although neither club have mentioned the finances involved. Ramires played in four games for Brazil at the World Cup in South Africa and has made 15 international appearances, scoring two goals. Exactly. The problem with managers after José is they inherited his team, Grant, Scolari and even Hiddink realised they were using a team José had built. Ancelotti it doing it differently, he's using his formation and his tactics. He's building the team how he wants it, getting rid of players he doesn't see fit at Chelsea and bringing in ones he does. Richards would be a great signing, he's a great defender and very strong. He's not as quick anymore because he's added a lot more muscle in the last few season, but still a very handy CB. I don't think Manchester City would want to sell though, he's one of their homegrown plus he's English. City are lacking in a few of those.

I saw that article, it does not say anything along the lines of he's inept. It says Benayoun is more intelligent on the pitch, but that does not mean Joe Cole is by any means inept. BlueLion is right, they're trying to making Ancelotti look bad by making these assumptions about what he "really means". But then again, what's new?
