  1. If he stayed in that shirt, he'd probably have stayed CAM and I wonder what would've have been..
  2. How dare they! THE TRANSFER WINDOW SHOULD BE CLOSED, Martinez should know better
  3. Wow, now there's a shout in Jorge Jesus! But I'm curious @Jason & @DYC., why him?
  4. It started from some Twitter nerd I believe lol. Internet is amazing.
  5. I get it, but I think it sets a dangerous precedent. This club, in recent history, has had a bad nature with player power growing too much.. It started from when Mourinho left, because that core he built was still in their prime it wasn't ideal for succeeding managers. In fact Villas-Boas deserves a bit of credit for breaking that core up in the first place, remember that while he may not have won the CL, it was his team that did. I found Lampard's actions distasteful and disrespectful to an extent. Though I think this is an issue we'll agree to disagree on
  6. Well now that United have agreed terms, it's only a matter of when and not if. Shame. The club is so concerned with balancing the books, yet here's a cheaper signing than any of our RWs and we're not even bothering, lmao.
  7. That's ridiculous imo. The player should never have more power than the manager. Even if AVB was wrong, players have no right to show they think they know better. He did what was best for the club by sulking? Come on now.
  8. I wouldn't go that far to be honest. Media reports state Terry responded positively to Mourinho's decision and it seems pretty likely that Terry is going to start next season, sure it was a shock to see something we've always theorised about but I wouldn't go as far as to say he's been hung out to dry. Premature at least, it remains to be seen how the season unfolds.
  9. Preach mate! It's amusing how quick our rivals are to pile it on, how we've started our season. Arsenal fans couldn't get enough of it! Well we'll see who's laughing at the end of the season when we're fighting for the title and on several other fronts while Arsenal are content to finish 4th Up the Blues!
  10. See that's why I understood Mourinho's decision to take Terry off and bring on Zouma. It freed up Azpilicueta and finally we had a full-back who was actually playing like a modern fullback. So Mourinho does want to use our fullbacks as attackers but our defensive set up just doesn't allow it. I hope that in his intent to sign Stones and use Zouma a lot more we'll see our full backs making those overlapping runs. This is the same discussion they had on Monday Night Football tonight lol. Gary Neville highlighted the relationship that Kolarov-Sterling and Navas-Sagna have that was so influential. It would truly be great to see Rahman and Hazard spurring a relationships which means our left side of attack will be much more aggressive and give us better options to score.
  11. Do you know the funniest thing about that? That was the City approach of the last few season, lack of any genuine width. For the money City spend, I have to give it to them because they strengthen exactly where they need to. Sterling for example, he now gives them genuine wing play along with Navas on the opposite flanks. Previous windows they've taken care to strengthen their central midfield by signing Fernando and Fernandinho (though for the life of me, I don't see why the former plays). Hazard won't offer that wing play, his default is to cut inside and use trickery and dribbling to leave defenders for dead. Which is fine, but Willian is actually the same. We haven't had proper out and out wingers since Robben and Duff. Malouda was I guess, but not near the level we required.
  12. How he can be upset when Terry is more than happy to accept the same is just laughable
  13. I mean I'd be completely blindsided and amazed if we made sufficient signings within the next two weeks! But Roman's no fool and I'm sure he's resisting that urge to implement the revolving door policy again, so I really hope he and the board will see sense!
  14. Plot twist: Mourinho did all this on purpose
  15. I just hope he's not going to sulk like Lampard did under Villas-Boas. Terry has always maintained he's happy to be benched if players better than him are playing and I don't think he can argue Zouma doesn't deserve to play. When/if Stones comes, I hope he'll accept the situation.
  16. Victor Moses - £9m Juan Cuadrado - £27m
  17. Definitely. Wasn't sure about him a while ago, thought he wasn't going to make it. But as he gets older he's getting so much better and making him captain was almost a stroke of genius. I hate saying it but this Liverpool teams has some really good players now. Coutinho, Henderson, Benteke, Clyne.
  18. Hahaha Mou's done it again! Everyone is more focused on John Terry's future than Chelsea's overall performance. Magic.
  19. Ah so the answers to our problems, sign God!
  20. I hope Mourinho phoned Oscar and told him to make notes on Coutinho's play today.
  21. Well to be honest, we still could. A player like him isn't staying at Palace long-term. European ambitions will always spur top players on, be it January or next June, he'll move again.
  22. Lmao, that's precisely what I was going to say. Mon€y talk$
  23. Yeah I for sure I guess. But the root of it comes down to the fact this club went a little too overboard concerning themselves with FFP when clearly there was much more dynamic way of approaching it which City found. & if the case is true that transfer investment is going towards a new stadium instead.. Well looks like we'll be following an Arsenal approach then
  24. I don't buy that, money talks. City have an enormous amount of world-class talent warming their bench, with correct rotation and that it can work. Of course if they specifically want to leave, like KDB, then fine. But I'm sure Mata, Schurrle & Luiz didn't want to leave as soon as they did.
