  1. Also lmao, Tevez cost City the title. Had he been there throughout they would have probably wrapped it up with a nice bright, blue, bow on it. They could have got a guard of honour from United next weekend too. Now he's their hero come villain come saviour. Got to love the fickleness of football fans & media alike. I see the same happening with Balotelli, he's gone from hero to villain. He'll be back amongst their 'heroes' soon enough.
  2. Urgh, don't remind me. Years upon years we went with them beating us at every chance they could. While we had consolation with Tottenham at Three Point Lane, it was always heart breaking when Arsenal were in town. Thank f'ck things have changed, ignoring the anomaly result they got in the 5-3
  3. LMAO Bale. He's never performed v. Us. In fact when's he ever performed against a 'big club' since Inter Milan?
  4. That's because he too has Ashley Cole syndrome - Mancini's overplayed him a lot in the last 2 seasons, so it does make sense he'll be on bad form in these closing stages. My worry is Mata's going down a similar road, he's been very muted in the last few weeks. Factoring in the opposition, obvious, tactics of out marking him plus the general fatigue he's picked up does make sense.
  5. I very much agree with Choulou. He's not someone that would've solved our problems at all, he's just another Meireles, a good squad player at best. Had we loaned out Raul we'd probably see the same article with his name inserted lol. That being said it was the cardinal sin to loan him out to a direct top4 rival!
  6. Yep, you're right. His big question mark is decisiveness in corners and allowing himself to be crowded out by the opposition in his own box, though I'd lay the blame there upon Evans and Ferdinand & co.
  7. Really sad to hear. Such a fantastic talent, but really unlucky too.
  8. Weren't we like the best behaved last season? What a contrast that is now
  9. The video shows the back writing will be white, that's probably the only bad word that could be said about this kit. Brilliant.
  10. I've never seen this thread so active since I've been here! Brilliant stuff
  11. Scholes is the greatest English midfield player of all time. In my opinion.
  12. That's not exclusive to Italy
  13. It's not Robben's night at all!
  14. Names are fine, your sums on the other hand Using your scenario I believe this is more realistic: Out Kalou - Free Bosingwa - Free Drogba - Free Malouda - £5m Essien - £5m Benayoun - £3m --- Total: £13m --- In Tiote - £24m Hazard - £40m --- Total: £64m --- Net toal: -£51m Why did I draw this conclusion? Because we're going to have the same useless, senseless, logic deprived, anti-football, board whoever comes and goes. History therefore suggests we'll let our big name players leave for peanuts and use gold dust figures to buy players. By over paying for stars like Tiote.
  15. Could mark the start of a new era? (I said that last summer )
  16. I refuse to believe that's it till I see it officially. If it is, I'm buying it most definitely.
  17. The linesman that also awarded us 2 offside goals? Let's not have double standards here
  18. Wasn't that in the cup game though?
  19. Yep. Our esteemed owner lives out fantasy football in reality unfortunately. It's inevitable we'll target the lucrative signings, but as TX said, let's hope their done under the media spotlight so that we actually capture them.
  20. I don't even doubt Lukaku's ready for a chance in the first team, it's a shame this club isn't willing to take a gamble on players as it does so easily with managers.
  21. Great article, demonstrates exactly what you were saying. It's ridiculous, a good comment on that as well here:
