  1. He's a very hard worker, very impressed myself. It's not easy to come out of the shadows of Falcao in a squad, but Adrian has done very well and you can tell Falcao likes working with him. He should stay at Athletico though, we don't really need a support striker.
  2. As many have already said, Higuain would never work in the Chelsea system. We simply don't possess the pass-masters required for a poacher to shine here
  3. Yea I agree, I think he was much better last season than he was this. He's a very good player, but hasn't been that great. Although that being said, there's not a lot of players you could say deserves player of the season. Off the top of my head probably Van Persie & Yaya Touré are the next closest. Definitely not Rooney
  4. Anyone here going to The Shed End bar? Might head there with a couple of mates!
  5. Expected nothing less from you here SeB. Excellent post, you should convert it into an article for the site. I'm sure we'd get tons of hits from most fans when Mikel is in a headline.
  6. Adam Johnson dug his own grave signing a "long-term contract" in November while City continued to pursue attacking targets. If he's destined to rot in their reserves, he only has himself to look at.
  7. I've been saying all season we should swap Torres for Falcao. Unfortunately, with that brace in the Europa League Final I think many teams will have taken notice of the power-house and we'll have to pay above what Athletico paid Porto (Around £40million). Even with offering Torres we'd still have to pay around £20m on top of that. Furthermore it's interesting to note how many creative players Madrid possess. To name a few, Diego, Turan & Adrian. Together with Mario Suarez, it's no wonder they've managed to create so many opportunities for Falcao as well as the Columbian creating for himself.
  8. FUCKING LIVERPOOL. I KNEW THEY WOULD DO SOME SHIT LIKE THIS, I JUST KNEW IT. FFS. "WORLD AGAINST US" SEEMS TO BE THEIR NEW MOTTO
  9. Really do have to applaud him for sticking with Chelsea for so long. With 150+ games to his name, I'm sure there have been more than a few clubs interested in him, giving him a chance to play first team football for them. Thankfully he is being given his chances now, and I hope we don't pay big money for another left-back to replace Cole. That would be a real kick in the teeth for Bertrand.
  10. We should gamble. Give him a pre-season and let him start the season with Cech on the bench. It would be bold, it would show trust and it could pay off!
  11. Yea D&G. Excellent sponsorship deal Chelsea struck with them in '09. If they ever redo our dug-out at SB, D&G should design the seats.
  12. He simply said he's behind Arsenal. That's a normal thing for a player to say, since he's playing for that club, he doesn't want to come across as not 100% committed. If he said he wanted Chelsea to finish above them, Arsenal would consider that as a player who's not giving it his all. He didn't even say he "doesn't care" where Chelsea end up. Bogus headline by the Sun.
  13. Annnnnnnnnd the penny drops. Did anyone even read the article?
  14. The problem is, any club who has watched Essien in the last 2 seasons will realise he's crock. Not only that, but they'll realise he did sign a new contract and won't pay anything near what Chelsea would seek.
  15. Chelsea wouldn't face "fan backlash", they'd face "fan's acceptance". It'd be a bold-move in the right direction for Drogba to leave Chelsea, especially on the high of this potentially historical season.
  16. Come on Cap. That Sun article completely twisted most of what he said to portray him as an arrogant 'world-revolves-around-me' asshole. He simply stated that without Rooney for England's first 2 games in the Euros he's an option. He said those comments about starting when Torres was on horrid form and if memory serves me correctly we all suggested the same thing.
  17. True that, it's going to be a fight. Not even a boxing match, just a straight fight. Embarrassing to label it "boxing" though
  18. Haye v. Chisora Simply epitomises the embarrassing state of boxing today.
  19. If you're gonna do something like that to Carroll, at least make it count. Should've left the pony with a broken nose at least, come on Brana!
  20. Back-to-back Europe League Winner Medals for Falcao. Athletico on course to win the EL twice in the last 3 years.
  21. They always needed an excuse to push the "Terry out!" campaign without addressing the obvious racism-case. If it wasn't this it would've been [if we lose the CL final] how his actions in Barcelona shows he's a liability. Blah, blah. Anyway, it's good for us if he doesn't go.
  22. Wow, didn't expect to hear that about Messi. Shocking. I'm sure Liverpool fans will be delighted to hear that though, "If Messi does it, then Suarez should be allowed."
  23. Perhaps, we'll have to see how he fairs out in terms of trying to keep up that level of imagination and creativity.
  24. Prior to that Tottenham weren't considered a genuine threat though. Arsenal have always been challenging the top3, despite not having won f*ck all in 7years they still pose a much larger threat. They're not even direct competition as we are with Arsenal.
