Bit over the top reaction there Tomo? He was impressive when I saw him play for Chelsea, just the curse of a failed loan, the guy who removed him must be better. Get him back to Cobham and let him play reserve football till a better loan offer (lol) comes in. Newcastle fans adored him when we sent him a loan there, so he's not all bad.

Well has it? No. People died protesting against the F1. They're not happy about it, why? Because the fact the F1 can be held there, without any hesitation shows that no-one cares about the struggle the civilians are going through in Bahrain. What the F1 cameras didn't show you was a mass protest outside the track, they don't care about a stupid motorsport event, they're fighting for their lives against the government who kills them for asking for a basic election. The companies who sponsor the F1 teams are guilty of turning a blind eye to the atrociousness in that country and show support of putting up a façade despite all the negatives. The King or whatever coming out with Eccelstone was a horrible image to witness because that shows the FIA is actually sideing with an oppressor. To put this in context. It's like the FIA allowing a race in South Africa if apartheid was still active and Mandela in prison. And if you don't understand why that's wrong then I can't stress the point any more.

Exactly, so damn true. With each new manager arrives, the more these kids have to again prove themselves and start from square one. While you could argue they should be doing that anyway, different managers would earmark different kids they'd want to see brought through. Fair play to Bertrand for sticking out this long, most would've called it quits by now.

Van Persie Wins the PFA Footballer of the Year
LDN Blue replied to FranklyFrank's topic in Football Chat
They both deserve. We can say what we want about Walker's abilities, but it's good to see a young kid breaking through and showing others that they are capable of doing so in top clubs. -
Probably Inter & Roma, that's what's rumoured at the moment.
-
England & Chelsea's most consistent player in the last 4-5years. It was worth Mourinho & Chelsea getting in trouble over for tapping up, because everyone recognised his quality & potential. Could have a case for being one of our best purchases alongside Lampard, Ricky, Drogba & Cech.

Very good work from Sculli

Oh Liverpool. Liverpool, Lolerpool, Lolershite.
-
Makes me laugh, he's clearly bitter that United's tactics didn't work last time LMAO.
-
If we don't play Mata we will epitomise everything Dani Alves said in his interview prior to the first leg, that we are full of fear. We must look like a team ready to attack, even if that's not our tactical set up. The bus parking tactics became our down fall in 2009, when we rested on a single goal.
-
I'm actually in the camp that Drogba and Lampard should actually. It's not disrespectful to offer a lower wage because a lower wage to him, is something us normal working people could only dream of lmao, You forget these guys are millionaires and like any job, the most talented people in that field should be rewarded with a better wage. Paulo is not at the top of his field by any stretch of the imagination. It's disrespectful on his part for in fact signing new contracts when he knows he's not going to be playing.
-
It's not disrespectful because he's in the twilight of his career, and plays like 3 games a season. He literally turns up to be a friendly bloke, do training and then go home with his paycheck to his family. He will never expect to play - though he will be ready to - and he knows because he's a "nice guy" no-one will question it. Till now. Now I won't go as far as to compare him to Bogarde. But take away the "nice guy" persona and what do we have left?

Who's Realistically Ready to Step Up?
LDN Blue replied to Superblue's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Flavour of the time. Not without basis though, he looks a brilliant prospect, but his time is not now. -
I want the club to gamble on RDM. Anyway isn't the popular consensus that Pep will be taking a break from football after Barca? I'd imagine Del Bosque would want him to take the Spanish reigns once he calls it quits.
-
We had a discussion similar a few months back when Badboy lashed out against Paulo. It's not that I don't like the guy, I do respect him for the things you've stated above, but the fact is he shouldn't be a player here. Give him a job at the club as like a coach or player-relations ambassador or something like that. The fact that we believe he should be our second choice right-back says a lot about the lack of quality we have in that position and I believe neither Bosingwa or Ferreira should be playing at this club, the former shouldn't be anywhere near the club.
-
It's simply disgraceful this decision is going ahead. The latest news coming out is a protester, against the race, was killed! Killed for protesting a simple race. This should give you all a glimpse of how bad the situation is in Bahrain. I will not be watching F1 again till it's acknowledged this was a mistake and Bahrain is taken off the F1 calendar until things are sorted. I would also call for the proceeds from this race to go the hospitals and rebuilding of infrastructure once the violence is done.
-
Exactly. I see a wonderful, consistent, defensive display*. With this squad too, I'd take a draw, considering the hiding we got at the Bridge. *Aside from Bosingwa that is.
-
Yeah I know, but it seems there's just a lot of double standards.
-
Guilty! - Not because he was a Bolton player though, just thought he was a bit overhyped and wouldn't fit in a big club. So glad I was wrong though!
-
It's just awful. Sturridge is one of England's brightest prospects, and Chelsea's! Mata and himself are players that I believe are the most important and that we should be building around. Fair criticisms of Sturridge that he is selfish and stuff, but that can all be helped by successful man management and support from the fans, if we get on the kid's back then of course he's not going to care. Our entire 'attack' incentive today was flawed. Sturridge, Malouda, Kalou and Torres. I don't know how people can claim he's also holding us to ransom because no-one actually knows the details of the contract negotiations, there's been nothing to suggest contract talks.
-
We did what was necessary considering 4th is becoming a real stretch and all the players would rather focus their energy into beating Barcelona to reach the Champions League Final on Tuesday. So really, I'm not complaining at all about the shocking display in front of goal because we were sublime in our back 4. It was worth getting a point, because truth be told Arsenal needed the win more than we did. I'm one of those that carries forth the opinion 4th is now gone.
-
Incredible reactions, I could scroll through the Torres thread and find numerous posts professing he need to be patient and now because he 'works for the team' he's accepted now into the squad. SMH. I don't deny how incredibly bad he was today, but some of these posts about telling him to 'fuck off'. Unbelievable.
-
Thank fuck they haven't figured out the weakness of Bosingwa yet because he's seriously going to cost us a f*cking goal. I wish Di Matteo had Lukaku to throw on because Torres can't do anything and it wouldn't be the worst substitute in the world. -- Also, lmao how quiet Emirates is, as usual.
