  1. Most definitely was. I love the FA Cup, I know it's not as prestigious as it used to be, but it's traditional. We love it too, won the last 3 out 4 in the competition. A trophy is a trophy, regardless of it's cost.
  2. Indeed. I don't see City being as stupid as us to send a club to a rival team, i.e. Yossi to Arsenal.
  3. Also imagine if we had another creative player to take the pressure off him, keeping him fresh towards stages of the season like this.
  4. Is he so wrong to choose City though? It seems like they're going to win the league this season, now logically that means they're going to begin an era of dominance. I accept that might not be the case, but it's the most likely scenario considering the amount of capital they have and they would only look to strengthen their squad. That means they're more likely to pose a bigger threat to Europe & England than Man United or Chelsea. At the moment anyway. Therefore you simply cannot blame Hazard. Yes, he'll get a bumper deal with his contract, but he'd get a great deal at United & Chelsea too.. We'd pay extraordinary wages so why can't someone like Arsenal turn around and say the same thing if he'd join us? "he's chasing the money". Like Term said, you shouldn't point the blame at Hazard, point it at City for going after a player they don't need but want.
  5. Yeah I agree lol, it's just hilarious that he's scored v. Everton & now us in this useless game and they've now said he's worth the £35million. At least our Torres justifications came in a match of real purpose.
  6. LMAO all the Scumpool fans are now backing Carroll because he got MotM in a dead-rubber
  7. Last home game of the league. Should allow the likes of Malouda, Essien, Drogba, Ferriera & Kalou to play so they can say goodbye to the home crowd. Hopefully.
  8. I love how everyone's so quick to judge the guy All we legitimately know is he's leaving for England. Anything else is pretty much hearsay. He's been to the Manchester derby, but he's also been to the Emirates as well. He's just a young, talented kid with a lot of options. Don't hate on him because of the state of football. It dictates you follow money & ambition. The two go hand-in-hand.
  9. [Cliché] In fairness, the squad played to his strengths when he came on. I.e. hoof it up and let him head it on/try to control from that. [/Cliché]
  10. Gotta give to Nike, they're trying their best to do a good promo for that washcloth
  11. I was content with the squad. I think it's a wiser decision to gamble on the final than try to play our luck with 2 remaining games hoping the other 2 slip up. Probability would dictate it's a better shot to try and win the 1 match which would guarantee the CL place than win 2 and still not have that. A fair gamble by Robbie.
  12. Indeed. It's the same old, same old. That's why I'm slightly sceptical if Di Matteo will make such decisions.
  13. Judging from the previous page, City?
  14. Look, I get the argument about people saying he's not ready, he's just a kid and all this. But the fact is, and Sam is right when he does say this, you don't pay up to £18million for a player with 'potential' to rot with your reserves! If anything, that completely ruins his potential. Both Romelu & Chelsea are at the fault here. The former for keep on talking up his move to Chelsea before it was done, I know he's a massive fan but, his professional career is more important and he should consider any big club that would've played him. Secondly, Chelsea are at fault. At fault for buying the player simply because "other parties were interested". That's what André Villas-Boas said about the signing, just like De Bruyne it was pretty obvious that the management had 0% intention on using him. At least with KdB, Chelsea saw some f'cking sense to loan him back to Genk immediately. Why didn't we do the same with Lukaku?! With Courtois we even secured a loan immediately because the club knew he wouldn't be displacing Cech this year, probably not next either. In any way you look at it, it's an awful signing both for club & player.
  15. Are we actually linked with Belhanda though?
  16. No power. Well, the "power" they do have is toying with the CPO
  17. Competition is never a bad thing. Yes Cech's stepped up, but having Courtois impose on his presence in the squad will make the former raise his game on another level.
  18. I still think he'll go to the Euros. If Roy's as smart as they say, he'd want to surround himself with a new type of England squad that'll trust him because of their selection. Sturridge would be an example of the national manager taking a risk, thus Sturridge will back Roy.
