  1. Indeed. I've been saying this for a while, United see playing on the anniversary of the Munich disaster as an honour because it's actually motivation. The fans use it as an opportunity to properly pay homage too. Once again though Liverpool believe they are all high and mighty above everyone and it's them against the world blah blah. I'd say a Mersyside Derby would be appropriate on the Hilsboro anniversary, I know some Liverpool fans would as well. Abysmal theatrics from Scumpool.
  2. I wish the club would do with Drogba what United are doing with Berbatov. They're going to extend his contract, but still allow him to leave in June so that he doesn't walk away on a free, he's agreed to it and clubs will pay so it's not a problem. Just like Drogba, clubs will always pay. So the club and he should compromise and extend his deal by a year, but allow him to leave. It's a fix that is mutually beneficial.
  3. That doesn't matter, I don't care what Roman craves. I'd rather the club were realistic in what they can attain this season, where their most realistic hopes lie. While Roman will forever think that's the CL, that's simply not the case. We have a better chance of beating Spurs, Liverpool/Everton than we do of beating Barcelona & Bayern/Madrid
  4. We've had some good luck when it comes to playing at Wembley in recent years. Form will be irrelevant since we're pretty much both in horrid ones, it'll come down to who wants it more and it'll also depend on Di Matteo prioritising this with the Barca clash. Personnel wise.
  5. I reckon this is like Nasri last summer. Reports will say we're interested and a bid is imminent yada yada and in the end we won't make any real effort and he'll go off to City or United.
  6. Remember guys it's only his agent saying us. We know agents like to play up what teams are interested, to push up prices, might not necessarily be true.

  8. I knew you'd be the first to respond to that post.
  9. Indeed. We have Lampard-Drogba in the old regime. In the new one we could have Mata & whoever our main striker is next season.
  10. Yea. I'm done with getting excited over our 'prospects' till they're actually given a platform to shine. Be it for us or another club in the PL.
  11. It's a shame when you see the behavioural problems of Pepe and Balotelli. They're both exceptional football talents, which is what makes it even worse. People would kill to have the level of talent they possess.
  12. Well I'm sure that's exactly what Del Horno was thinking 7 years ago
  13. I don't think that's fair. I mean he did just give an option, albeit not very subtly. But then his opinions were attached with personal jabs. Anyway I suppose it's not my place to comment on forum politics.
  14. That's our fault for giving him (if memory serves right) and £60/80k/week contract when he was like 19 or something. -- Furthermore I'd just like to add, Sturridge's selfishness is exactly what we lack at the moment. I'm shocked that people actually suggest he should've leave the club. He's by far not someone I'd say should leave the club, he should have the next batch of Chelsea players built around himself and Mata.
  15. Yep. No real surprise to me, I think something like the last 3-4 games we've been very bad, we've conceded late and by virtues of some much-needed luck we've clawed our way back into games. Today epitomised those awful performances before lady luck kicked in and tonight lady luck wasn't on our side. We're just as bad, if not worse, with a run-down, burnt out Juan Mata. His benching days should've come 3-4 weeks ago. Now he's becoming like David Silva has. I say again, Ashley Cole syndrome. A consequence of having such a weak, depthless squad.
  16. Can't give articles Steve, but if you need an editor, I wouldn't mind doing that.
  17. Because there was no need for him. Essien was in his prime and Mikel was seen as the second choice to Ess. It made perfect sense to sell Diarra.
  18. The FA's ignored our request to move the FA Cup game to Friday. Typical, absolutely typical. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/7654171/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  19. Not that I believe the story, but no. That being said, Lille are resigned to Hazard leaving in June so for all we know they could be granting access.
  20. Would be a good time to let Sturridge loose.
