  1. We should gamble. Give him a pre-season and let him start the season with Cech on the bench. It would be bold, it would show trust and it could pay off!
  2. Yea D&G. Excellent sponsorship deal Chelsea struck with them in '09. If they ever redo our dug-out at SB, D&G should design the seats.
  3. He simply said he's behind Arsenal. That's a normal thing for a player to say, since he's playing for that club, he doesn't want to come across as not 100% committed. If he said he wanted Chelsea to finish above them, Arsenal would consider that as a player who's not giving it his all. He didn't even say he "doesn't care" where Chelsea end up. Bogus headline by the Sun.
  4. Annnnnnnnnd the penny drops. Did anyone even read the article?
  5. The problem is, any club who has watched Essien in the last 2 seasons will realise he's crock. Not only that, but they'll realise he did sign a new contract and won't pay anything near what Chelsea would seek.
  6. Chelsea wouldn't face "fan backlash", they'd face "fan's acceptance". It'd be a bold-move in the right direction for Drogba to leave Chelsea, especially on the high of this potentially historical season.
  7. Come on Cap. That Sun article completely twisted most of what he said to portray him as an arrogant 'world-revolves-around-me' asshole. He simply stated that without Rooney for England's first 2 games in the Euros he's an option. He said those comments about starting when Torres was on horrid form and if memory serves me correctly we all suggested the same thing.
  8. If you're gonna do something like that to Carroll, at least make it count. Should've left the pony with a broken nose at least, come on Brana!
  9. Back-to-back Europe League Winner Medals for Falcao. Athletico on course to win the EL twice in the last 3 years.
  10. They always needed an excuse to push the "Terry out!" campaign without addressing the obvious racism-case. If it wasn't this it would've been [if we lose the CL final] how his actions in Barcelona shows he's a liability. Blah, blah. Anyway, it's good for us if he doesn't go.
  11. Wow, didn't expect to hear that about Messi. Shocking. I'm sure Liverpool fans will be delighted to hear that though, "If Messi does it, then Suarez should be allowed."
  12. Perhaps, we'll have to see how he fairs out in terms of trying to keep up that level of imagination and creativity.
  13. Prior to that Tottenham weren't considered a genuine threat though. Arsenal have always been challenging the top3, despite not having won f*ck all in 7years they still pose a much larger threat. They're not even direct competition as we are with Arsenal.
  14. Most definitely was. I love the FA Cup, I know it's not as prestigious as it used to be, but it's traditional. We love it too, won the last 3 out 4 in the competition. A trophy is a trophy, regardless of it's cost.
  15. Indeed. I don't see City being as stupid as us to send a club to a rival team, i.e. Yossi to Arsenal.
  16. Also imagine if we had another creative player to take the pressure off him, keeping him fresh towards stages of the season like this.
  17. Is he so wrong to choose City though? It seems like they're going to win the league this season, now logically that means they're going to begin an era of dominance. I accept that might not be the case, but it's the most likely scenario considering the amount of capital they have and they would only look to strengthen their squad. That means they're more likely to pose a bigger threat to Europe & England than Man United or Chelsea. At the moment anyway. Therefore you simply cannot blame Hazard. Yes, he'll get a bumper deal with his contract, but he'd get a great deal at United & Chelsea too.. We'd pay extraordinary wages so why can't someone like Arsenal turn around and say the same thing if he'd join us? "he's chasing the money". Like Term said, you shouldn't point the blame at Hazard, point it at City for going after a player they don't need but want.
  18. Yeah I agree lol, it's just hilarious that he's scored v. Everton & now us in this useless game and they've now said he's worth the £35million. At least our Torres justifications came in a match of real purpose.
  19. LMAO all the Scumpool fans are now backing Carroll because he got MotM in a dead-rubber
  20. Last home game of the league. Should allow the likes of Malouda, Essien, Drogba, Ferriera & Kalou to play so they can say goodbye to the home crowd. Hopefully.
  21. I love how everyone's so quick to judge the guy All we legitimately know is he's leaving for England. Anything else is pretty much hearsay. He's been to the Manchester derby, but he's also been to the Emirates as well. He's just a young, talented kid with a lot of options. Don't hate on him because of the state of football. It dictates you follow money & ambition. The two go hand-in-hand.
