  1. [Cliché] In fairness, the squad played to his strengths when he came on. I.e. hoof it up and let him head it on/try to control from that. [/Cliché]
  2. Gotta give to Nike, they're trying their best to do a good promo for that washcloth
  3. I was content with the squad. I think it's a wiser decision to gamble on the final than try to play our luck with 2 remaining games hoping the other 2 slip up. Probability would dictate it's a better shot to try and win the 1 match which would guarantee the CL place than win 2 and still not have that. A fair gamble by Robbie.
  4. Indeed. It's the same old, same old. That's why I'm slightly sceptical if Di Matteo will make such decisions.
  5. Judging from the previous page, City?
  6. Look, I get the argument about people saying he's not ready, he's just a kid and all this. But the fact is, and Sam is right when he does say this, you don't pay up to £18million for a player with 'potential' to rot with your reserves! If anything, that completely ruins his potential. Both Romelu & Chelsea are at the fault here. The former for keep on talking up his move to Chelsea before it was done, I know he's a massive fan but, his professional career is more important and he should consider any big club that would've played him. Secondly, Chelsea are at fault. At fault for buying the player simply because "other parties were interested". That's what André Villas-Boas said about the signing, just like De Bruyne it was pretty obvious that the management had 0% intention on using him. At least with KdB, Chelsea saw some f'cking sense to loan him back to Genk immediately. Why didn't we do the same with Lukaku?! With Courtois we even secured a loan immediately because the club knew he wouldn't be displacing Cech this year, probably not next either. In any way you look at it, it's an awful signing both for club & player.
  7. Are we actually linked with Belhanda though?
  8. No power. Well, the "power" they do have is toying with the CPO
  9. Competition is never a bad thing. Yes Cech's stepped up, but having Courtois impose on his presence in the squad will make the former raise his game on another level.
  10. I still think he'll go to the Euros. If Roy's as smart as they say, he'd want to surround himself with a new type of England squad that'll trust him because of their selection. Sturridge would be an example of the national manager taking a risk, thus Sturridge will back Roy.
  11. Late punt for 'Most Controversial' BB?
  12. Fucking Wigan. Up for another season, contributing nothing till the last 3 months of the season. They do this year upon year, pisses me off. That being said, Blackburn deserve to go down because they've been shambolic. Not like it's Kean's fault, it's the owners. Now it's between Bolton & QPR I guess. Hoping it's the latter to go down!
  13. Wow. Meh, I'm used to the Mikel-debate never being discussed properly. As long as people hold a candlelight to Makelele's "untouchable" stature Mikel will never be appreciated for his pro's. That's not happening any time soon, so thankfully managers like Ancelotti, Di Matteo, Villas-Boas (to an extent) & Hiddink recognise what Mikel's contributions are to the team.
  14. Can't blame them. We've been raiding Porto as of 2004
  15. CFC News obviously being told tales here. Mikel must be being rested for the final. MUST BE.
  16. FFS, LBHF are toying with the CPO now. They're trying to purposely enrage and delay this process, trying to hold the club (indirectly) to ransom.
  17. Community Shield at VILLA FUCKING PARK?! That's disgraceful.
  18. He was only linked with us because of Villas-Boas, who knows if interest still remains. Any of our Portuguese members want to give in sight on how he's done this season?
  19. LMAO 'not a single club has shown concrete interest in signing me so far' - Charity case
