  1. He's not, and his absence is not the reason for not winning right now. But he's a far better option in the middle in games like this. Tidy play doesn't win you points. I'm still not convinced Willian is a #10. I just don't see it in his game. I like him better out wide but Hazard and Pedro are better.
  2. The performances aren't something new. We've seen this football in all of 2015. The amount of times I've said average/poor performance this year is shocking. The difference is points are being lost now. But this game isn't over. A win is a must.
  3. Willian... God bless him, he tries so hard but he defines predictability. He's so easy to read. Those cross passes for example are nice and all, but it's worth nothing if you play them over and over again. Hazard completely off the pace. Strange seeing him like this. Pedro's quick and clever play can be so valuable. Need to see him more on the ball. Diego drifts too much. He needs to be a far bigger presence in the centre. Build-up play has been painfully slow. Zouma and Cahill is unacceptable tbh. All the time and space in the world but they can't do anything, and Palace knows this. Badly need some individual brilliance.
  4. Proven by the Chinese National Team's captivating performances. Come on, Black Mamba. Don't be ridiculous. Chinese Sergio Ramos is the best nickname I've ever come across.
  5. Welbeck doesn't start because he's a decent striker at best. Constant excuses during his time at Utd. I remember all the fanfare when he just signed for Arsenal. Worse even were the comparisons to Henry after a few games. The great Thierry Henry. Unbelievable. That's blasphemous. Giroud is better than Lukaku imo. He receives too much stick. Scapegoat for Arsenal's failings as a team. He's flawed but he's a very, very good striker. And I find it hilarious how his biggest strength, his top notch aerial game, is barely utilised by Wenger. That's the same as buying Aguero and never playing him through on goal.
  6. Stop crying and act like a man, iseah100. It's over. But it's far from the end of the world. There will be plenty of others.
  7. PSG - Real Juventus, City, Sevilla facing each other Barca, Leverkussen, Roma facing each other Bayern - Arsenal Great games. Coupled with some other more than decent matches. Fantastic draw really.
  8. No way. PSV is weak, CSKA is decent, Wolfsburg is usually pretty good but the loss of De Bruyne is massive. No creativity without him. Their strikers are Dost and Bendtner... I was surprised to see they didn't strengthen during the summer. All those teams would kill for Utd's players. If Utd doesn't top that group they're absolutely terrible. City should finish top of their group as well with all that quality. Disgraceful European record yet they're such a big dog in England. Them choking in Europe again wouldn't help Chelsea in the league.
  9. If you're not going to win the CL, you might as well have a bit of fun before you go out. But if facing top teams means bus parking and beatings, bring on Sporting and Nordsjealand (or whatever).
  10. Plenty of players out there with a price. Question is whether Chelsea is willing to pay it.
  11. His transfer fee is shocking. But his development not so much. He was always a very talented player. Good technique, good pace, strong crosser, impressive engine and fitness, two-footed, scores goals and good shot from distance, creates chances and provides assists. These are all qualities he's always possessed, and that's a very impressive skillset. He's just become better and better in these areas as he's matured. He's about a level away from world-class status. This is where we'd hope Oscar would've been in terms of development after three years. But his road is apparently a bit longer, most likely inferior in quality.
  12. Kane to Utd and Lukaku to Tottenham would make sense. But then again, I can imagine Everton demanding serious money, signing him for +/- £30 mil and all, making him impossible to sign for a team outside the top 4. He'll have to drastically improve his all-round game and become a striker wanted by the elite.
  13. Such bitterness haha. €80 mil. You don't even have to prove yourself at the highest level for multiple seasons and win trophies to command a massive fee anymore. But then again, it's City's own willingness to pay such fees. The way things keep going the elite will consist of just 5 or 6 teams. I don't look forward to that prospect.
  14. Give me a midfielder. William Carvalho/Kramer/Krychowiak/Witsel/Gustavo. Take a risk and buy Javi Martinez if possible (with some help from the Spanish agents). Come on, Chelsea.
  15. Agree. Don't even have the slightest bit of hope he'll join. But if the club truly are attempting to buy him, I'm happy because these are the types of players the club should always be targetting. Without changing the system? Behind Costa.
  16. Great article. Such a level of selflesness is indeed extremely rare. He was always very underrated. Many would have you believe he was lucky to play for Barca or only played because he's a youth product. 'Anyone looks good playing in that side'. Complete nonsense. And like the article stated, he's made many, many key contributions to Barca's succes. I truly hope he becomes a big succes.
  17. Good people are just good - Roberto Martinez
  18. My locker is loaded, my internet friend. Loïc is alright. I like his name. Loïc. It has a nice ring to it. Good player too. I feel sad for him. Demoted because of a well past it Falcao.
  19. You know, Mexicans and borders. Either attempting to cross it to get to the promised land called the USA, or smuggling certain goods. A sterotypical and slightly racist joke. You suck, dude. You should've gotten it immediately.
  20. Good luck getting past the border.
  21. I liked Joe. Very much even. But I wasn't sad to see him go. Well, probably at first, but that died quickly. It simply wasn't working anymore. What a terrible end to his career btw. I remember him enjoying somewhat of a revival at Lille, but looking at him now, you'd wonder how he was ever England's next big thing (he was genuinely talented, don't get me wrong).
  22. Zola should've won the league with Chelsea. Gudjohnsen never should've been let go. Loved that man with a passion. Watching him play (surprisingly well in a new role) for Barca hurt. Cole declined but should've stayed and retired a Blue. He's such a dude. Carvalho. Legend. Genuine defender. Never liked the way he left. So little attention, barely any love. That was cold.
  23. Loïc should punch Mourinho's lights out.
  24. Coutinho is such an outrageously talented footballer with the ball at his feet. It's a shame he can't perform consistently. But he still has more than enough time. He'll probably end up in Spain.
