The quality of the performances haven't changed in 2015. The only difference is the score at the end of games. We tried to blame the second half of 14/15 on fatigue but it's obvious Chelsea have been found out. You can't keep grinding out wins 'like champions' forever so this was bound to happen without any changes made. This third season phenomenon is truly astonishing. Is it a case Mourinho losing the dressing room after a few years? Or do the other teams figure out his approach, with Mourinho unable to adapt? But it's very early so it's probably a bit too soon to start drawing conclusions. But the signs are very worrying for 15/16.

Not true. The team was in terrible shape in the second half of 14/15 but Hazard was brilliant and carried the team. People have such short memories. He's been an absolute ghost for the most part now. Unsurprisingly, it has had an effect on the entire team. This reliance on him shouldn't be this severe. And Eden himself needs to wake up.

The most surprising thing about this summer for me is the fact that City made the kind of signings I expected Chelsea to make. They went out and bought players to improve the first XI. I hear what you're saying, in your original post, but I never understand that 'there were worse times' talk. Chelsea struggled in the 80s, yes, but they didn't have a manager who makes a fortune, top class players and weren't one of the best clubs in world football. When the situation changes, the demands change. So all that is irrelevant. But I agree with you saying some take it too far.

Nahh, I'm not even a fan of Mourinho and I don't want him sacked. I do hope he looks at himself first, implements some changes and gives other players fair chances to play.
