What another lucky escape we made eh! Not like he was one of the best players on the pitch today. We did such a good job not buying all these useless players.
-
Yeah I bet theyre ruing the day they bought a fast as furk young talented guy that scores his 1st goal in just over 2 minutes. Bleedin ijits! Who would want a player like that eh!

I agree with most of what you said. I do hope we sign those 2 lads plus at least a full back for Luis. (Personally I wouldn't stop there but I can't do owt about that I'm afraid.) Totally agree with you concerning Zouma/Stones (seeing as it doesnt seem my dream of a Zouma/Varane partnership is possible) I really dont know enough about Traore to give a comment on him. Its a risk using him instead of a more complete player and I would really like to have Griezmann. But the way I see this season its going to be a gamble. If it doesn't pan out I hope we dont panic buy come the winter sales. I hope they just re look at it next summer and spend some money. We will just have to see how the first couple of months go and hope the lads have a great season.

I just dont know what to believe but I like the guy and can imagine if he linked up with Matic/Cescy it would work great. Can always hope. http://metro.co.uk/2015/07/21/agent-reveals-chelsea-in-talks-with-zenit-over-axel-witsel-transfer-deal-5305851/

Its hard on the eyes isn't it mate! Makes me wish for temporary selective blindness. And I do understand the need for pulling other teams to pieces, apart from it often being factual it makes us feel a bit better about our own problems!

I get ya bud - was just playing devils advocate
-
I know for whatever unmentioned reasons whether its the club pulling the purse strings tight due to new stadium being built or some other daft reason Mous not going into the market for upgrades, how would the Bartomeu win effect them transfer wise? Ive seen theyre keeping Turan.
-
He hasnt got the personality to do it. Same goes with Tebo. It takes someone that all the lads trust, respect and would get behind. Someone that can give players a pat on the head or a kick up the arse to wake up.
-
In a perfect world my friend yes I could agree with you. To not spend a penny, to bring in kids to spend their entire career as a Blue, retire as a Chelsea legend and to be replaced by yet another of our kids, To be self sufficient would be ideal. But unfortunately this is not a perfect world - yet - or maybe never will be. I dont have the faith in starting a kid that doesn't have a hours PL time. It might be ok for 10 minutes on a cold monday night in Stoke but in a top half of the table clash or in Europe it would be crazy. Thats why Mou hasn't done it. I know its a big Catch 22 that they cant get experience without playing but its a very big gamble to play them and I would rather them take it very slowly or we sign a much more complete player than us not compete at the highest level. IF we was a mid table club with no hopes of Europe or winning the PL then yes I agree we should experiment and put in loadsa our academy but we are now a product of our achievments.
-
WHY NOT?? We should always be trying to win at all costs. Always be trying to improve the squad. We are a long shot from being anywhere near perfect. I just dont understand why so many of us are content with how we are now.
-
Oh no - lifes always a barrel of laughs, the only thing that manages to get under my skin is Chelsea, and where it only used to take an hour or so to get over a loss it tends to take a night and a pocket fiull of money now! Must be getting old. Wedding dos are either one of the best things you've done in ages or they bring out all the little rows and scraps break out in all corners of the room.
-
Its not the sort of need to get wrecked that normally clears your head and you're fine the next morning. Its like feeling an impending doom lurking and the only cure will be watching us kick shit out of the gooners. So not much longer to live with it. Almost as bad tho is someone actually said on here lately it didn't matter if we lost to them. Almost brought on temporary blindness!
-
Its a shame the lad didn't work out cause he seems like a really nice guy. But for whatever reason Mou has no faith in him it did seem at the time a strange buy. At the time Bane had made the RB his and Dave had the LB. There was only the bench for him. And at his age that just didnt make sense. Theres no doubt he will be happy now and I wish him well. Its just a soddin shame we couldnt put the money to good use and get Griezmann eh!
-
Seems like a sensible loan for him/us. HOPEFULLY getting regular games in the PL couldnt get much better for us.
-
Dont seem to want or apparently need anyone bruv. This does make me smile.

Theres a group of the lads from my local going over and I cant make it cause her indoors is in hospital that morning. But I'm feeling really weird about this season so far. Last year as soon as Cescy/Costa was confirmed there was an amazing buzz going on. When presaeson came there was an electricity in the stands and a feeling that I hadn't felt in a few years. We was all just bouncing off each other with excitement. This close season so far has felt like a kick in the balls and I'm sure its not all to do with no glamorous signings. I'm sure as soon as everyones together in the pub before making our way to beat them north Londoners I will be ok. (God I hope so cause I'm on a real downer
-
And this worries me more because you just might be right! But when its come to the point where £18 mill is out of our price range for Pedro we really are up shit creek. Get ready to paddle.
-
Hes also very quick so getting up and down the pitch without leaving the other lads up shit creek wouldnt be a problem. The only thing that Im worried about is just how this would effect Happy? If we sent him out on loan it would be a travesty and if it made him 3rd choice (specially when Cahills sitting there quite snugly) would hurt him and I THINK it could lead him to leaving us. Its no secret Id give my dangleys to have Happy/Varane as our CBs but a Happy/Stones would work.
-
Welcome to the site bud. I met a very addicted Chelsea fan from Israel in Goa. He once came to London just for 2 days to watch a game! And to answer your question (Theres many threads open dealing with this subject so jump in mate) No I dont personally agree with him and I would happily upgrade 4 of our main 1st team IF the right players were available.
-
I would be more than happy for 1 of three of our lads to get the armband. Either Dave,Matic or Cescy could all do the job and I would be more than happy to have any of them lead our lads.
-
Ive not seen owt about a Moses loan so I dont know how we are going to bring one in without one going out as Mou keeps saying to cheer us up. I wouldnt want anyone else as manager and I know its a controversial thought to not agree with everything he does/says but I just dont understand him at times. Hes got arguably the best footballing analytical head in the game so I dont understand how he cant see the problems ALOT of us see. He cant be happy with every single one of the lads. Yes I did read that he said "some players will have to get better and some will have to get alot better" but some of them just cant get much better, theyre as good as we can get them I'm afraid. And with our small squad and lack of GOOD depth how can he settle for some of the guys we have on the bench? And tho I dont agree with his one out one in mentality WTF cant he bring one in THEN get one out? Surely thats how upgrading works. And if we keep waiting to do that our depth wont get any stronger. That is unless we upgrade the bench and heave the guys in the 1st team than we really could upgrade. I know none of Mous regular 1st team are crap and at times they each have their touch of genius, but those times for a couple of them are few and far between and I dont understand why more of us dont think we should be doing everything in our power to get the best players for every position that we possibly can. I like Mou is hopefully going to be with us for awhile and seems to be making us his project, and I do like the idea of us having a youthful team that can grow together and be together for years but that means putting young top of their game players into positions that we need them. And those kind of lads just dont come cheap. We need to start buying class (NOT necessarily the Pogbas,Messis,Bales) but theres alot of very good young players out there we should be at least looking at yeah. Im not doing some kneejerk reaction to us not going bloody bonkers spending fortunes but what I am is worried that we are going to be left behind this year and I can see come January we shall be looking for help that just wont be available. And if people are happy with that then thats what I dont get.
-
And believe me I get ya and I would dearly love for that to happen but I just cant see it. We got a problem with our back 4 which is normally our strength. Cahill well enoughs already been said, Bane a lovely guy but hes dead slow. He gos wandering off upfield forgetting hes a defender then cant get back fast enough so he leaves an already shakey Cahill in the schtuck. Oscar has been exactly the same for 3 seasons now. We all keep saying the same things - what happened to him after Xmas?,this will be his year wont it?, why doesnt he offer more offensively eg assists and goals?, why dont we get a proper number 10? Yes the lad runs round like a nutter and he offers a good upfield defence but we need help offensively. Willian IMHO is very similar to Oscar, MAYBE a bit better. I wouldnt like to get rid of any of those IF possible and we kept them for depth. I know its not popular here to speak our minds about players but I dont dislike any of our lads, theyre Chelsea ffs. BUT we cant afford sentimentality in team selection and really should upgrade if at all possible surely.
-
I was meaning in our situation Spike. If all our depth just isnt good enough why add more of the same caliber to it. Why not upgrade the 1st team and demote the player thats been replaced to depth. Mous there saying that 5 wingers are enough and doesnt want too many but when IMHO 2 of them just aren't our standard and 1 is at his best a mirror copy of Willian I just dont get why he doesnt get shot of a couple and bring a couple in?? OR buy them first so we know we have them THEN sell the others. It just seems to lack sense to me or am I totally missing summet?
-
Whats the point of depth if its not talented? Thats part of the problem we already have! Why make it worse?

http://www.chelsea-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/eagles_want_zouma_on_loan_865933/index.shtml So Palace want Happy! I'd be disgusted if he went. IF there was to be a loan out it should have been this last season. But I think Mou was totally right when he said he thought it would be best for everyone if he was to stay and get his training on site. t would be a travesty if he went out now. One of the best young players and with the most potential we have had. Me i think he should definitely be starting over Cahill. If not all then the majority to take over fully starting next year. Hopefully by then we will have got some balls and gone after Varane with a vengeance to take JTs place. IF Stones comes then I would HOPE it would be JTs place he was taking. If not then I see us losing Zouma all together because hes better than a 3rd choice defender.
