  1. Very true, and IF Real DO buy Reus then I simply can't see them keeping all, what, 5? 6? WC wingers without any of them being unhappy at being the Madrid equivalent of Salah.
  2. Your analysis of some of the goings on at the club are amazing and very in depth. Provides for very good reading every time! Cheers.
  3. Tbh if we were set on a deal and Real want a new GK... (this will be unorthodox) we could offer them Courtois. It isn't as outrageous as some will think - Cech will still be at his current level for another 5, 6 years. Bale is only 25 still, 7 years at his peak. Or any of the Real wingers really, Isco would be just as good, if not better, lol. Not sure if I would go for such a deal but I wouldn't be outraged if we did do it, either. Plus I could see The Helmet as first choice once more!!!
  4. I doubt it. As a defender, it's hard to reach 34 and retaining a starting place in one of the best teams in the world, and if he makes 37 he has done well for himself. Since he's not planning to go to MLS by the sounds of things, 37 will probably be the terminal point for a coaching role. Still, never know with JT. My point is, midfielders playing at the top of the top flight at 36 are not a very rare occurence, but not a single name comes to mind of a defender in the top 7 teams who is older than Terry is.
  5. For Bradford: Cech Azpi* Zouma Cahill Ake Rami - Mikel Schurrle RLC Salah Remy *If fit
  6. If Ronaldo goes back to Man U I will eat my Chelsea shirt.
  7. IF Reus has joined Madrid, he's simply fallen for the money. He will end up benchwarming most of the time, getting sold a year later and coming to England anyway. I really want to know how they get away with it. Or are the rumours around Bale true?
  8. Tbh I could see it happening. Real typically hoard finished players, rather than developing them. It's probably the reason why Mou ended up falling out, his ideology is a long term one, rather than Florentino's shorter term one. I really do hope he comes here, though. Varane - Terry would complement each other excellently. Although knowing Jose he'd still play Cahill instead
  9. Only should chance him if he is released by Monaco and we let him train with us before offering him a contract. Otherwise, nobody has time for Torres the augmented version.
  10. 4-3-3 Cech Ivan Zouma Terry Luis Mikel/Oscar Cesc Matic Remy Costa Hazard Bench: Courtois, Cahill, Ramires, Oscar, Drogba, Schurrle, Salah
  11. Tbh I still think Cech on a purely open play level is still a bit better than Courtois... I wish they were rotated more. Plus...I love the guy. It's a waste of talent on the bench, really. That said, I do admire Tibo's ability just to pick balls out of the air on set pieces. Mesmerising.
  12. Matic or Cesc really. Probably Cesc is first, though.
  13. INS: Pogba £30m Reus £20m IF Cech is not happy and chooses to leave, 3rd GK either from the Academy to go behind Blackman or a cheap 2nd option. £2-4m. Bertrand back from loan TOTAL: £50-54m OUTs: Schurrle, £15m Mikel or Ramires, £3m or £15m, respectively Ivanovic, £7m Cahill/Kalas, £20m or £10m, respectively. Personally would keep Kalas. Cech (poss.) £10m Obviously this is way too ambitious and half will not happen, but this is what I'd do personally. Salah instead of Cahill if when (if?) we give him a run of games and does not perform. Otherwise hopefully he will feature a lot more next season.
  14. Should and deserves to be rotated more IMO. Still as good as TIbo is.
  15. There's something about this which is just making me crack up
  16. Could replace either #10 or pivot role, couldn't he? So Cesc, Oscar, Pogba, and Matic can all be rotated around.
  17. I know, that's why I know it's highly unlikely...Chelsea truly did screw him over though, and I can't blame him for wanting to leave because of that. To be fair also, Costa hasn't got a CL goal yet... Southampton have got themselves an excellent player.
  18. I hope he comes back to us next season, can't see it happening, though. IMO, Luis was an unnecessary buy for us. Never did see the logic in it, not saying he's not a quality player, especially in these FFP days of yore.
  19. Yes, obviously it was also his back 4 too but it was obvious he wasn't up to his usual excellent standards. Agreed. Cech is such an inspiration, it's a shame it's almost certain he will leave in the summer I hope he returns to the club afterwards...
