  1. I'll be annoyed if we sell him. He's a great prospect, he's had a fantastic loan and was an ever present in a mid-lower top flight team where he was a holder instead of a no 8. He definitely could come into the first team - I'd say he's more ready than RLC, but he could fill in some bench roles such as Mikel's and Ramirez's in the mean time.
  2. Cahill improved again towards the end and was good at the start. As long as he doesn't make that blip a habit I have zero problems keeping him, but of course Zouma will overtake him in the next season or 2 - But then again, Terry'll likely either be gone by then or be playing few games. Cahill is not amazing in any respect really (except knowing where to put the blocks in) but he's consistently 7/10, his blip last season was a one off imo, and the only defender not to shrink in an ENG shirt (or maybe the rest are just shit). For the future, Christensen will definitely be in with a shout. He's the ball playing defender we're looking for now. HG. Stones too - I'd like to see us buy him, maybe loan him back to Everton for a year. Fantastic prospect. Finally, Clyne. Replacement for Iva.
  3. We will need more English players by getting rid of Cahill. Having said that though, bringing Clyne in does moisten one's appetite... If Real let him go I will be amazed, anyway...
  4. Lol ok. So Azpi is crap cos he's a traditional fullback. No mate.
  5. lol if they get Casillas Cech to MU is probably the best option for all parties, really.
  6. It's too early imo to buy him with Terry still playing, Cahill being first choice and Zouma developing himself at thunderous pace. Maybe we could sweeten the deal by offering to loan him back to Madrid for a season.
  7. Wrong. Fabregas barely ever played actual CM for BAR. Usually he was on the RW or as a no 9 because there was no space in the team. He does need to be more consistent...but soe of the comparisons here are getting ridiculous.
  8. Beginning to think so too. Nothing wrong with that either.
  9. If he doesn't switch to the right next season I think he never will and we'll buy Clyne or sth.
  10. Being marked out the game by big teams (a sensible strategy) as a sole playmaker does not make said a player a small game player. Put Iniesta next to Cesc and he would look more consistent too.
  11. Surely a prem team could find a use for him
  12. Matic has actually been subbed quite a few times.Oscar is stable. And he gets subbed less because there is a lack of backup quality. Jose prefers to play Oscar deep often over Ramires as his ball control is so poor. Playing Willian at 10 leaves a hole on the wing. Cuadrado is not good enough yet at least and we both know Dave was deployed on the right wing to stop Filipe Luis not because Oscar was not good enough. Next season will certainly be the one to judge him on. Finally, Mourinho's system requires his no 10 to do the defensive work for the DLP - Fabregas. I don't think there is a CAM that does this better than Oscar, aside from Willian of course. I can't fault the argument, then, that we should replace him with a CM b2b player either.
  13. 1st Team Courtois Clyne Cahill Terry © Azpi Matic Cesc Reus Oscar/Willian Hazard Costa 2nd Team / Cup Team Cech Dave/Andreas Ivanovic © Zouma Luis/Dasilva Schweinsteiger* Pasalic/RLC Willian/Oscar Musonda Reus/Hazard Remy *I'd also like to see Zouma get play time at DM.
  14. Well, yes. I don't want him to leave too, and I reckon he won't because as you said, he can cover so many positions and has the ethic that Jose loves to see in his players.
  15. Southampton would be a good loan place imo. Palace wouldn't be bad for him either, he would displace one of their CBs easily imo - plus with Jedinak being sold he might be called upon in midfield too and I think that is good for his development as it improves his all round game. Just because he doesn't play does not mean he will rot away though. If he keeps fit and keeps his training ethic then he still havve an arrangement like with this season.
  16. Nothing wrong with dreaming. But the reality is that it would take a Bale-sized transfer fee to get him and that's not something we will pay.
  17. Apologies, my knowlege of Spanish clubs is mediocre at best, but if he can start matches here, he can sure as hell start at Atleti.
  18. Actually, I'd be okay with a loan. PROVIDING, HOWEVER: It's a top flight top 7 side where it is likely his games played ratio will be very high. Lyon, for example, or even Atletico, if they choose to offload Miranda. Otherwise it's a step down from what he'll get here - eg 20 or so games plus a few sub appearances. The season after Terry could well retire.
