  1. 3 loanees are allowed at each club outside of the current division
  2. I hope we see more 4-4-2 next season.
  3. He ain't going nowhere unless we buy/bring back an RB and play Iva at CB and find a new LB...yeah. I highly doubt it.

  5. it was 1/13 worth of his chelsea career, the City debacle...As they say, it's not worth cutting off one's nose to spite one's face.
  6. Frank Lampard: "I'll always keep my season ticket at Chelsea and if they ever want me back in any capacity..." I can't believe some here are letting this minor blip tarnish his whole career here....
  7. I believe this is what they call sinking or swimming. While I fully believe in the kid I can't help but think that Baker should be here in his place.
  8. Bamford, Pasalic, Traore (WP permitting), Baker have the most chance imo. Dons' manager said Baker was the hardest working player he had coached - Mourinho likes that in a player, almost more than talent itself. Traore imo would already be about if he was given a permit, Pasalic at age 20 has been an ever present in a mid table team in La Liga. Think Lamps at West Ham (although not too much; not making any presumptions lol), and had been entrusted as a DM for much of that, wich is not his natural position and is unusual for such a junior player to be first choice there. For me he can make it. and we need a new 3rd striker - for me Bamford is the man. Playing as many minutes as Drogba did this season at age 21 or whatever he is at CFC would be an achievement and he should not shun his chance to become part of the team now before we find somebody more willing to do so to replace him. One other in the future is Kalas, especially if one of the back four gains an injury that's long term.
  9. Ever present for Elche this season. Proven he can survive in the first team. A good loan would be ideal, to a team with Europa/ChampsLge football and the season after I think he should come back. Alternatively take him back now - he's a b2b player, he appears to fit the profile of what Mourinho wants. He has a good chance. Being an ever present in a first division mid table team at 19-20 is a fantastic achievement. Well done to the lad. In fact, he was largely playing as a holding midfielder, and obviously not doing a bad job of it.
  10. Recovering in 4 weeks from a hammy injury means he did not do it or he would be out far longer than that. By the sound of it the club are strengthening his muscles anyway. No worries.
  11. Reus > Griezmann. We need creativity, not direct play, as much if a good player as Antoine is.
  12. Very true. Baker still has a shout of a first team recall if he gets a good loan and uses it effectively.
  13. That would make sense - somebody told me the Samsung deal ends May 31.
  14. Courtois / Cech Azpi / Ivanovic Cahill / Zouma Terry / Ivanovic Bertrand / Azpi Matic / Schweinsteiger Fabregas / Schweini / RLC Reus / Willian Willian / Oscar Hazard / Reus Costa / Remy / Bamford One can dream...
  15. If we're betting on Colkett (and that's not a bad punt at all) Schweinsteiger would be a good temp option - his only weakness is that his pace is deteriorating. Koke doesn't want to leave and with Cesc here in his prime it just doesn't make sense imo.
  16. Oh yes, in that case I agree. The trouble with us is that apart from Costa, who often ends up going wide to service the box, we have nobody (even Hazard hesitates to pull the trigger at times) who can shoot outside of the box like Lamps did. I think that was one of the hopes with RLC, for him to become Lampard II. It's also one thing that Cesc (perhaps intentionally) doesn't offer in his deep role. Oscar used to shoot from long more but he doesn't seem to do it any more. Anyway, my point is that we try to pass our way into the goal, which works at times (Bilbao vs BAR comes to mind, but for it to work it does require fantastic off the ball movement which Neymar-Suarez-Messi possesses and sometimes our unit switches off - although we have done it) but we can be stopped by experienced defenders.
  17. Yeah, I realised that slagging off CFC comes naturally to some here... (note: Not the OP. )
  18. We have done before. Schalke away. Swansea away. Everton away.
  19. He will be key to Colkett's evolution. You can already see his magic has rubbed off on him.
  20. Dave is just so much class. I don't get why he isn't in the NT, though. Does he fade in the Spain shirt?
  21. Yep we did.I don't see the excitement surrounding this lad. He's a past it, man united reject whom we're not interested in. Drogba got 26 games thus season. If Bamford's not happy with that at a top club at the age of 20 or whatever he is then he'll have to have a few years' patience out on loan while we wait for him to be ready to start 30 or 40 matches a season. And that includes factoring in the risk that we buy a replacement who is more willing to play such a role.
