He isn't bad in no means. He is great in attack and okay in defending. He is very young, so time will sharpen him more. Biggest thing he needs to work on is positioning and marking. He often lets the marker go, probably expecting the CB to track him.
-
When you are a defensive midfielder.. I doubt you need to contribute with assists or goals, lmao. He does pick up yellow cards regularly, though.
-
Have you actually watched him? 10 times more technical than Matic and arguably a better ball winner than Obi and Ruben. A 4-3-3 with him, Cesc and Matic/Ruben would be elite.
-
Please get Cholo. Please. I would love Conte, but please.
-
Fabrizio Romano says it is Conte vs Simeone. I'm melting inside. Great choices.
-
Actually, he hasn't had many flops. Gimenez, Griezmann, Carrasco, Oblak, Mandzukic off the top of my head are his notable sanctions and they were all great. Only Jackson Martinez flopped epicly. The thing Simeone excels at, in my own view, he manages to bring in players directly. Lots of recent Atleti players have came back from loans or directly from the youth system and he's integrated them great. He actually sold an amazing CB in Miranda to promote Gimenez and he is great. Kranevitter and Thomas Partey have been great. Dunno, I think Simeone would be the best choice.

Willing to bet we'll sell him, rather than recall him and give him a fair shot.

Someone please make a comp. I want to see.

It isn't easy crossing with your right foot when you play on the left side trust me. He has the workrate and pace to attack, but when on the right side. On the left he just looks more to defend and guard Terry for pace. Quite obvious, imo.

Some italian journo with a verified tag on Twitter and a Conte avi said it's Conte. Who to believe? I'd prefer Antonio, though. Seems more tactically astute and the desire with him is obvious.

The guy who said JT and Cesc off, please, use your braincells in a correct fashion. Anyways, I think it's our most important summer and we need to spend wise. The new manager will be a factor. An overhaul is needed, but I think right now we have a good balance in attack and arguably defence. Midfield is the place to work on. Oscar and Mikel need to be offed. If Mikel stays that should, in no way, mean he is above RLC in the pecking order. We're playing with three midfielders so, Cesc, Ruben, Matic, Obi and another could be good for us, given no CL and no proper constant rotation. A young DM would be ideal, as Matic could leave and isn't that amazing, imo. In terms of attack, IF we keep Hazard and Willian, we'd have done an amazing job already, but let's be a bit annoying and want more. Pedro could be off, if he doesn't like English football. We have Kenedy and (if his loan goes well) Pato who could easily occupy their roles. Which makes things great if we keep hold of all 5 of our attacking players, with Pato being eligable to play CF. Keeping Costa is also important. I doubt anyone, bat Atleti, would want him back, but hey, you never know. So, him, Pato and Traore is a formidable trio if need be. At least, in my eyes. We have no CL football. Aim is to reach it. There is no reason to get an Icardi or someone and have the off-form striker constantly unhappy with his game time, because you can't rotate that much. In terms of defence, Miazga, in my eyes is a good buy and we should give him a fair shot. Him or Christensen. In no way should we go overboard unless we get Stones or Marquinhnos. No one else. Baba is good. Azpi too. Play them together and leave Ivanovic to get less game time. Overall, in my eyes, we need to spend big and see what youths we can trust and which we can't. Ruben is still too young , so someone like Isco, Gotze etc., if available should be a priority. A young DM,like Neves from Porto, maybe Carvalho. There are options. Praying JT gets a new contract and Zouma and Miazga/Christensen are a proper partnership. 2-3 very good signings at best and this team is good to go.

Hope these goals are just enough for Juventus to be convinced and get him.
-
I am actually crying at how fickle our fans are. We sign a youngster on the cheap and we'll only win in both situations. We'll definitely sell him for more than 2 mil. or he'll be a player for us. Ofcourse, people who have never actually seen him play and can't judge his potential are quick to write him off. The same people who were laughing off Kenedy and are now begging for him to be getting more game time. You amaze me, more so you make me sick.
-
Shed some light, please.
-
Oh my God. Okay, everybody stay calm. They have Castro, Gundo, Sahin, Weigl, Bender and one more, I can't remember. (Talking for 2 CM spots) PLEASE GOD.
-
Deal makes perfect sense. He is in his prime, an elite CM, wants to leave and Ramires is, reportedly, unsettled. No other top club, bar us and Liverpool need a CM so badly. He could be amazing in a 4-3-3 or even a 4-2-3-1 with Cesc at 10. It just strikes me on the head, how much good this deal could do us. For that reason alone, it won't happen.
-
Telegraph are reporting we would want Gundogan in a swap deal involving Ramires going the other way. Dream deal if true. Telegraph are a bit more reliable, but I personally can't see it.
-
I've been screaming for Ruben for ages now, yet, there is one little thing I have to mention. Playing him as a 10 is not something I would prefer. To me, he has to occupy the box-to-box midfielder role. He has the physique and tackles, alongside the passing and vision to do well defensively and offensively. Hope he is put next to Matic/Mikel. He needs to be a bit more fluid though, a tad more workrate. Grab the game, want the ball a bit more. He'll come in time, I hope, but imo, that would be ideal. Went mental on his goal.
-
Am I the only one worried about our lack of activity. It's like we aren't in January...
-
Bullshit rumour probably, but we are apparently trying to negotiate a move for him and Cancelo(the RB, dunno his name). Can't be optimistic, but him to next to Matic and Fabregas? I'd cream my pants.
-
With this in the mix and rumours floating around we're prepared to bid again...could it be true. I'd be buzzing.
-
Reports have came out that Marquinhos is unsettled at PSG and warry of our interest. PSG are reluctant to sell. Question is, why am I getting my hopes up, when it won't happen?
-
He is so tailor made for our Number 10 spot. Amazing dribbler, bags of talent and workrate, technique, vision and passing ability. He'd actually make Oscar reconsider his papaya selling career, because he'd give him no chance at the AMC spot, if he accomodates rightly. Im not blaming our board solely, I doubt he'd be over the moon with joining us, given our position. Still, we should push 10 out of 10 for this.
-
Frustrated at Real. We're keeping Oscar. Utter shambles. I'll be gutted, if we really pass him and not, at least, try
-
I guess I was a bit affected of my post in the RLC thread and gotten a little carried away. In truth, I think we should have had these wins, but yes, United had their fair share of moments and they should have capitalized much early.
