You certainly do not get 35 seconds versus Man. Utd, when Matic, Oscar and Mikel(he was okay, but still) are below par and bossed versus a poor United side. Now, as much as Ruben hasn't shown the greatedt quality, he's shown: 1. Calm on the ball and a good passer 2. Strength and physicality 3. Able to make a tackle when needed Granted all of the above what is the point of watching Fraudscar and Ramires not being able to make a 5 yard pass? I realise RLC doesn't have the work rate. He hasn't shown enough desire, but ffs, how would I, personally, show desire if I am constantly being neglected for being a 19 year old, when I could do no worse than those two? Ruben has what it takes to take a step further and become a regular for us. And yet people still convince themselves he isn't quite as good or hasn't shown it. But he is there, a great option to have, young and hungry. Thibo; Ivanovic, Zouma, Terry, Azpi; Matic, RLC, Oscar/Fabregas; Hazard/Pedro, Willian, Remy. Simple line up that would give us the dominance in midfield which would actually make them dreadful. They are in this form, because they lack a proper dominating middielder, because Schneiderlin is benches and Schweini's a bit inconsistent. If you are basing your assumption on a price tag and the fact that some journalists point out that, right now, he is the best, if not the best, then a top 3 CM in the world, then yeah, he is overrated. But if you watch weekly, you'll see that he is amazing in what he does - which is, do his job, by controlling the tempo of the game, bringing forward runs when needed and being a defensive outlet, also when needed. I firmly believe, Jose sees RLC as something like Pogba, but funnily enough he wants him to have workrate, something Pogba doesn't have in abundance either.

I completely agree. Which is why I am moaning about playing Ruben next to Cesc and Matic. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen so an Isco at #10 would be ideal for me. I wouldn't say NO to Teixeira also.

He's often played at LW and everything else rather than CAM. Plus there's Ronaldo. Isco's amazing. A far better 10 than what we have. iMO. Excluding Willian at 10.

Even solely in the CL: He is, imo, the player that has impressed me the most, even when they tore us up a new arsehole and everybody said it was all Willian. IMO. Teixeira was amazing back then, somewhere on youtube there is bound to be a clip of it and you can see it. He is good. A dynamic No.10 ala KDB. I'd be CONTENT with him here. Mainly because I'd prefer Isco.

At least we'll probably see him vs Makabi in mid week, right? Or we'll probably be all out for the three points so he isn't ready there too. This is the only thing I question Mourinho for. His favouritism of certain players let's him down, to be honest. We won't see a 4-3-3 of Matic and RLC, because Ramires has to be dropped. If he isn't then it is Cesc. While I am a huge Mourinho, I really fear he has lost himself in his general ego and self-belief.

Firmly believe this now. I hope we don't sign Pogba. Not because isn't enormous quality, but because the similarities between him and Ruben are unbelievably big. He is jogging when not on the ball, but if needed he'll nearly crush the opposition with enormous physicality. Has strength going forward, has vision, tight passes, nothing too special, layed up and precise for the player intended. Ruben's got a great future ahead of him. With Cesc,Matic, him,Oscar(when on form) and Ramires we have a balanced midfield. Maybe add or swap Ramires for some other player who is a proper DM. Honestly, I'm so excited to see him play, because he just keeps things so tight. If continues developing like this and goes all the way, he could be a starter by next year, imo.

Personal view was that he was much more involve in build up, tracking back, laying off simple passes to start attacks. He was managing to get to the ball faster and that allowed for a couple of misses. 3 to be precise. 1 was a shocking miss, 1 was unluckily cleared and the other he just didn't have the space to dribble past the GK, so he shot at him and it was cleared off the line by a defender. Overall a good performance, but his finishing let him down this time. Got tired after the 70th minute. IMO, Remy will start, but Falcao is a great option to have.

People would have went mental, but he didn't burry his chances. Allas, he has 10x the link - up play Costa has, and so does Remy. Finds spaces, calm on the ball, has good passing ability. I confirmed this ever since pre-season, and imo he isn't that bad as people make it out. People rated Torres for making a few runs and taking a few balls from the opposition. Let's nto be too harsh on the lad.

Would absolutely love it, if we keep the millions for Pogba and RLC turns into a less flashier, tad less talented, same bracket player. They COULD both feature in a team, imo. Overall though, I am really optimistic that RLC will get minutes in this season.
