In all my years playing as a full back, I have never realised someone would actually not put that tackle in for the first goal. EVEN, if he fouled him, he didn't even have a yellow, we would have cost a set piece. Disgusting. Remember when me and Jason got hate for slating him, last season. Actually funny now, lol.

Well, I agree that you've got that opinion, but a part from a few bad touches, he was okay in my eyes. I went a little overboard to being far superior to Diego, but his link up play is better when Diego or any of our attackers are off and need somebody to bring them in the game.

Now as much as I don't care about youth integration, I'm going to overrate RLC massively. If, played in a 4-3-3 with Fabregas/Oscar and being given that Box-to-box role, he can be as good as Pogba for us. And while you laugh at the comment above, I can firmly say, the guy has the same treat as Pogba, but unlike Paul he hasn't had regular playing time and the freedom to roam forward. I don't realise why Jose actually doesn't opt for him, instead of Ramires. Ruben is calm and the ball, intelligent as to when and where to land a tackle, doesn't risk too much, and will stay back when needed. If shielded by Matic for 60% of the defensive duties, he can calmly help him, while also gettin the ball forward with the long step that he posesses. I can't quite cut it, actually. Pogba is a dream, nonetheless, his technicality and "swagger" is out of this world, but he is given the freedom, to be a physical pressence when needed and be lazy, when others are controlling play. Also he can bomb forward whenever there is a need to and has that long shot, which could change a game. I'm honestly seeing Ruben as THAT guy. He has the same qualities. He may be lazy at times, but it's solely down to his physique, in my eyes. He isn't, yet, perfectly built to withstand running left , right and centre. I want to see him covering Fabregas's minimal defensive duties, which he can do better, whilist supplying and laying simple passes and coming outside the box for a shot or tackle(if counter - attack). Hope we see more of him this season.

People won't believe me, how much I am actually looking forward to the Macabi/Walsall game to see him and RLC.
-
A 4-3-3 with him, Matic and Cesc would be ideal. Shame we'll never see it.
-
Actually his link up play and technique were far superior to Costa's. Reason why I've been(yes, I have) wanting to see him start with Hazard and Pedro. Great goal from him and I sincerely hope we get to see more of the same.

120k, I think. This guy, showed Salah, Cuadrado and Schurrle how you basically should make the jump. BUT. Give into consideration the fact that he comes from Barcelona with vast experience and his technical ability has been worked on there, immensely, and I am not surprised he can do wonders. BUT, what a debut, son. He just adds so much more to the right hand side.

You'd think they'd keep Isla if they can get their hands on Oscar/Ramires? I highly doubt Isla is worth lasing both's boots, despite how average Ramires is.
-
Perfect news if true. Thanks!
-
So what happened? What exactly did I miss?
-
While I firmly believe Cuadrado is a goner, him not being in the squad really IS too much of a coincidence.
-
People really prefer Isco or Witsel to Pogba? Really? Says a lot about who watches him regularly and who remembers FM 2012's top prospects. If there is one signing that would make us immense is a midfielder like him/Koke/Veratti.
-
If Barca get a MF it will be Koke. Madrid would still need to offload at least 2 top CM's to get him.
-
You are speaking without a proper thought. Luis Enrique doesn't want Pogba. Mino Raiola doesn't like RM and RM are stacked in Midfield. Barcelona will probably get Koke if anything, and Bayern Munich are stacked with experience and German talents in CM. Only PSG may have a need for Pogba.

We've got three strikers, Bamford and Solanke and we are going to give John Stones money for another striker/winger. Can't buy this for some reason.
-
My mates are mostly Serie A fans and here is what I could say on the matter. I'm no expert, BUT Italian teams would never decline big money if they know they can replace a player or the money is good. In Juventus's case they are losing the midfielder they are going to rely on in the next year or two to be their main focal and I think this is the main reason for him staying. Now, if we were to offer Cuadrado and Ramires + big bucks that would make them think, but I still have doubts on whether they'll risk accepting. Someone rightly said, though, that the money would help them reinvest in Witsel and/or Gotze. Given that their midfield consists of him, Marchisio, Sturaro(who can be trusted), Khedira, Perreyra and Asamoah(if need be), selling Pogba would be a massive risk. Reason why, I don't think this move will happen this year. I think next year we could have a chance. I'm actually pretty interested to see, how we'd fit RLC, Oscar, Cesc and Pogba in a midfield of 3, given that Matic takes one spot.
-
I'm generally more excited about this guy than I was with Filipe Luis. Both should have replaced Ivanovic, but I think this guy is the typical workhorse and full back that Mourinho would love. At least, I think so, I haven't seen much of him.
-
Can tell most of you haven't watched him regularly. Same as the Douglas Costa scenario.
-
Hazard doesn't provide in big games??? Goal vs Arsenal Goal vs Tottenham 2 assists vs City Goal vs United For last season. Against PSG he was our best player, but when the whole team can't put two passes together, Hazard is picked by the CDM and the RB. What more can he do? He isn't in his best form right now, definitely, but to say he goes missing in big games is pathetic.
-
Now, I usually don't care about youth integration, but I think that we have two fantastic youngsters in the CM role in Ake and RLC to actually sign another 19 year old, because he has been exposed to constant game time and proved he's more of a workhorse. As much lungs as Godfred has, I don't see a reason why we should prioritize signing him. On one hand you have RLC. Why not give him a fair shot? I realise he may not be up for it, OKAY, but give him a fair amount of games to see if he can handle it. I'd honestly despise this move, simply because, Jose overhyped RLC to the extent that he had us dreaming of that ONE youth player to finally make the jump. Now when we need a CM, either put him on or splash the cash and sign Veratti/Isco(who are both available, according to recent reports/interviews). I'm not against him that much, don't get me wrong and I will support him, if we were to buy him. I just don't see a reason why we'd sign someone like him, even if he is Essien-esque, when we have our plants to pluck.
-
Tbf, he is playing against shit opponents with a much BIGGER Side, with much better players. It is kind of normal for him to be this good. That being said, I never slated the signing and it is epic seeing the typical "specialists on transfers" watch with their eyes wide open. LMAO.
-
I can't talk about something I don't know.
-
I kind of don't understand how you make an assumption when you haven't seen the player.
-
Mata wasn't a starter at Spain and was tearing it for us? Brian Clough made just 2 appearances for England, but is still regarded as a great player. National teams are irrelevant, if he does a job at club level. I doubt we'd sign him, but these arguments are shite.
-
Actually that's from Kike Marin. Have never heard this lad, btw.
