Imo Costa is more likely to succeed and be the main man eventually for us as he seems to have more desire than Mandzukic. Even when he is having a shit game Costa always try to get involves with play one way or another(sometime illegitimately) while as we see with Mario, sometime the team doesn't play well means he also doesn't play well, he is a good striker but the type that provide that breakthrough for the team or the spark. As for Lukaku, I think his Chelsea career under Jose is over probably after that pen kick missed against Bayern and his decision to ask for a loan instead of staying and trying to redeem himself.

Yes at the start of the season obviously they would both get their chances, unless Costa went on a 6 games scoring streak or something then Mario will have to wait for his chance. However, I would expect them to get equal opportunities up intil October/November when Jose will decide who is really the main man, and it would be great if both of them kept on scoring so we could have a Higuain/Benzema situation where we will rotate every 2-3 games.

Depends on their form and contributions. If they both do well it will be a Benzema-Higuain situation, if Mandzukic do well and Costa doesn't Jose will drop him, he isn't afraid, like wise with Costa. Basically now whoever picked it will be on their forms and not personal preference or because of their prices.

Madzukic+ 10-15m or Sanchez+Song straight swap? Imo the 1st one is better but Sanchez is a great player too(bit of a cunt at time but then most of the best players are) and since we don't really need a cam I think the 1st offer is much better.

As long as we replace them properly it doesn't really matter. For example Cavani swap with Oscar so we can go 4-4-2 is OK or someone like Reus to replace Oscar and move Hazard/Willian to the middle is OK too.

While also playing for West Brom and Everton, hardly the type of sides where team will defend deep against unlike us, MU, City...etc. Also Benteke had 20 goals last season too, more than Aguero this season or the last and we all know who is better.

It is just not as simple as replacing a man with a man and expecting him to score though, it is also the build up. I can count soo many times where Torres/Ba ended up messing up our counter attacks, fluid movement by being sluggish and slow. Costa will also help us to improve that, he is quite good at holding the ball up for team mates. For example the 0-0 vs Arsenal where Torres virtually spent every second on the pitch being outside their box, Costa will get in there and helping us having that target man. He will score as well as create, he is not exactly the type to go all for himself ala Sturridge either. If he sees someone in a better position he will pass and lastly, he can actually run and not good pace(not Walcott, OX lightning but quick for a striker) to be able to be through on goal a lot of the time, something we don't see a single striker of our doing this season. Eto'o is really only good as a fox in the box now, same with Ba and Torres.

Yep I understand that feeling, it must feel great when one of your academy player steps it up and become a key man in the team. I agree it is better economically as well, but the thing is will Jose be allowed to do it, especially with the pressure of delivering results/trophies year in year out? If we were run like Arsenal where top 4 is good enough our starting 11 atm will probably be with the likes of Courtois, Lukaku, Chalobah...etc all playing. Also don't you feel excited when that top class player sign for us? That feeling as a fan that you cannot wait for him to play. For example if we have promoted Kakuta instead of signing Hazard in 2012 I think that would be terrible and at the time Kakuta was also a very high rated player, he just never stepped up. Imo best option for Chalobah is to move to some team like Everton or Southampton and prove his worth than if he is extremely good like Courtois he will break into our team.

Just one of those that sometime it gone in, sometime doesn't. Pogba scored quite a few these past seasons but my point is atm Pogba is a better player, much better so we should be looking at someone like him.

Yeah because you would rather see Chalobah who is homegrown academy player over Pogba who is capble of banging them in from 30 yards. I suppose if next season we challenge and win nothing again but with Chalobah...etc in the team you will be happy too? Pogba is not exactly old, he is just extremely better than Chalobah atm and if we can afford it, why not?
