In most cases, that is why Jose had to move him to midfield. As a defender he is probably not even in top 15 best in the world, maybe not even top 5-10 in the BPL so should be around 20m max. But as a footballer he is capable of moments of brilliance like scoring a 30 yards free kick, that is why he is so highly valued. Not to mention his brand and marketing with the likes of Adidas...etc. But as a footballer, anything over 20m is overpriced for him.

The mistake with Sturridge is that we chose Torres and Ba to replace him. The situation with Lukaku is that we will be clearly replacing him with Costa/Mandzukic-2 superior strikers.

Well same point still stand, wherever he decides to go he will probably get there in the end, but we will not miss him or suddenly collapse as a club. Basically it just proves the point that no one is irreplaceable at Chelsea, from the manager to the players because there are always other players/managers out there who can come in and do their jobs. I am just thinking if Hazard is leaving it is gonna be personally reason(want to live in France, Spain or because his wife told him) which would be extremely unprofessional, or to win the league every season and the CL. In that case there is really only PSG, Real or Bayern as you said but he will not win the ultimate CL every season so it is pointless. Btw I wouldn't be so sure of near future, things can change really quickly in football. Who knows next season Salah suddenly becoming a Gritzmann or something and Hazard is reduced to a Mata role which could lead to his sell next summer. Sound crazy but sometime football is that way.

On another note, the sales of Mata and Luiz proves that anything is replaceable in football. So if Hazard truly wants a move to PSG eventually he can get it in a couple of years if he keeps up the flirting. However, what can be assured is that the club will make sure he isn't missed and take the best possible deal for him, I am thinking probably close or beat world record transfer fee. You can be a hero like Mata and be sold in the next season, after 11-12 I bet no one could see Mata+Luiz being sold, some even argued they will stay at Chelsea for nearly the rest of their career. I hope Hazard understands that moving to PSG isn't going to help him win CL every season, unless he wants to win the French league every season then I see no benefit or moving there. Yes he will be expected to win either the CL or BPL next season, otherwise it is sacking time. It is very clear now, but I believe we will be able to do it under Jose. If not Klopp or Simeone will be the man to try next. Either way this club will keep moving forward with or without Mourinho or anyone(maybe apart from Roman), they day Hazard is sold isn't the end of the world either, providing we manage to sign a good replacement and get a ridiculous fee for him like we done with Luiz. Basically our plan/football club structure is among the best in Europe atm. It is designed so that we are never over reliance on anyone, but as a club it can keep going continuously no matter who come in and out.

Yep that 'potential' isn't it, just like Luiz had the potential from 2010 until now. Reus or Gritzemann can also develop too, Reus is already top 10 best wingers in the world, Oscar not even best 10 CAM in the world. Also Oscar isn't really that young either, he is already like 22. Reus is only 2 years old so he can improve too.

Replaced with Matic, Courtois, Zouma, Ramires, Hazard, Dave, Oscar, Ivanovic, soon to be Costa, Willian. All are better players atm with the exception of Zouma but even then we will likely sign some new CDM to replace Luiz. So cheers up dude, this is a new era. We cannot live in the past forever.

Funny thing, all 5 penalty takers in Munich are now all or will be gone(Mata, Luiz, Cole, Lampard and Drogba). Wouldn't be surprised if Cech is sold too. Now this is what we truly call the end of an era. Doesn't really matter, 50m dollars are fine too LOL
