No they are not, they were at like 10th before Simeone came in and Dortmund was nearly relagated before Klopp took over. It depends on the manager, Valencia won the Liga 10 years ago, Deportivo won the Liga 14 years ago and made CL semi in 2004-also relegated now. If Dortmund and Atletico bring someone like David Moyes in they are not gonna be as successful as they are now.

Marca said apparently we will be signing him very soon as his contract just expired with Atletico. Seems to be quite good for a 33 years old imo based on this season anyway, would be a good backup to have especially for free. Also Mou likes him. What do you guys think? http://www.marca.com/2014/05/27/en/football/spanish_football/1401192876.html Also don't forget this amazing goal xd
-
Best they will be challenging for is 3rd/4th and that requires them to be on Harry's team form a couple of years ago(beating the likes of MU, Arsenal, us...etc) so they aren't really a worry for us or City. Well not unless they suddenly decided to sign someone like Cavani. We will finish 1st/2nd next season, I am confident of that.
-
Not official yet, that is why it is called pre-contract I guess. Basically similar with the likes of Mikel, Willian. Players that are just a medical away from signing with the club. As long as nothing is official anyone can still pull out.
-
Yep I agree but the odd really isn't in his favor though with age...etc. Also Del Bosque will retire after WC 2014 so who knows if the new Spain manager by then still fancy him, we seen countless examples of players like Nasri, Coutinho, Felipe Luis, Miranda...etc not going to WC this summer despite having best season of their careers because they aren't fancied by their managers. Either way it must be a very disappointing new for Diego if he is gonna miss the WC.
-
It is not just them though but over next 4 years there will be more strikers breaking through. If Spain's best options in 4 years are the likes of Negredo and Llorente then they are in trouble.
-
Yep this would definitely be the best option. The thing is with some people there is no middle path, just homegrown academy players are expected. Also imo that might work well but eventually the sub will likely want to leave if he is truly ambitious enough and good enough i.e Courtois, Lukaku, Tiago a few years ago. Imo eventually we will have to commit to one, buying best young talents or let good talented players from the academy into starting 11. Me personally as long as success keeps on coming I wouldn't mind either too.

Lampard moving to Zenit is the equivalent of Casillas moving to Chelsea
-
Would you rather have Chalobah starting for us or Pogba banging them in from 30 yards? I know which one I would like.
-
5 months ago by the fact the sell of Kevin is still being mentioned. Anyway doubt we will get him
-
That would be a blow to him, he might never make it to another WC again considering how strong Spain are and now basically he put the middle finger up at Brazil face he won't ever get in for them either. That might damage him mentally as well which could affect his form next season.
-
People forgot his wages as well? Probably £250k min.
-
Was talking about the future and the debate about his family, not that incident mate as some people mentioned the possibility of him leaving due to family reasons and all that.
-
@Jon_LeGossip He is a French journalist, seems to know PSG quite well. Also it been posted on other forums as well now. Also rumors going around now PSG have accepted 20m+Alves for Marquinhos which imo is their loss seeing as he is very young and have great potential, while Alves is not the same as he used to be anymore.
-
Yeah if his heart is truly in Paris what is the point of keeping him then? ''IF HE WANTS TO GO'' very important phrase there. If he doesn't then we don't need and probably will not sell. For me any player that doesn't want to stay at Chelsea can leave no matter how good they are. And we won't be parking the bus anymore, maybe in a couple of games away from home but not as regularly anymore as we will have proper strikers now. Roman won't tolerate it with Jose.
-
PSG have activated his 32m release clause, Arsenal also offered 24m but looks like PSG will get him. WOW AFTER THE LUIZ DEAL, where the fuck do they get this money from? Especially with FFP sanction and limit.
-
If they win the treble which includes the CL and Hazard/Ibra/Cavani are the stars man for them, either of the 3 will likely be named best player in the world unless Messi or Ronaldo went on a 60-70 goals run again(which imo is impossible even for them now) Yep I agree, but personally as long as we can get a great replacement(Reus or someone like that) it doesn't really matter, a world record fee and if he really wants to he can go no matter how good he is.
-
Bekista confirmed interest, really hope they get him
-
Not to mention apparently Hazard was fined for travelling to France earlier this season by Jose. Doubt moving constantly in between is a good idea, especially if he is planning to stay at Chelsea for a long time. Either way, I don't think we should even have this discussion. If it is true that Hazard wants to go back to France just because of family reasons like this over his career then he can leave, we don't want that type of journey man here.
-
Never gonna happen, especially with someone like Hazard who got married at a very young age. Eto'o is different, he only joined for money and he knew he won't be away from them for long as evident by the fact that he is unemployed atm. Either his kids are gonna go to English school/French school in London or he will leave Chelsea.
-
Because he is one of the best CB in the world atm
-
Agreed, for Oscar I could possibly live with but even then I would think it would have to be Lavezzi+ something like 15-20m min as we could always move Hazard/Willian to the middle. Although I still prefer us to sign someone like Reus or Gritzmann if we are gonna sell Oscar. In general it would not be a good move in anyway for us. Can't believe the clubs still haven't finished obsessing with getting CAM every transfer window especially after selling and signing so many in the last 2 years. This money would be better used on a top class CM like Pogba or Vidal, or a backup striker to Costa like Mandzukic. Even a LB like Shaw would be better use of money than this.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/10855386/Chelsea-ready-to-pursue-deal-for-PSGs-Ezequiel-Lavezzi.html If we pay 30m for this guy I am gonna be so fucking mad, he isn't even that good despite scoring 3 goals against us in the last 3 matches. Especially if Oscar or Hazard is gonna be involved somehow.
-
I don't like to get into this debate atm because Jose just went through a trophy less season with us while Carlo just won a double so there are bound to be bias from both sides but this last point of you is in a way criticizing Jose. They don't start it unless Jose did something, which he clearly seems to do as almost every single top player at Real was mad with him in the end. You should read that new book by Diego Torres written about Jose, seems to have some element of truth behind it even though he aimed to slate Jose throughout the whole book. Jose basically once abused Pedro Leon for no reason and tried to sign Hudo Ameilda(spelling) for Real LOL.
