  1. We don't cheer Torres because he cost £50m, we cheer him because of his stature and his presence in world football. He's a true superstar, a football icon who has won the World Cup and European Championships. We all just appreciate who he is and that he's here. Shevchenko was exactly the same, he flopped tbh, i don't like to say it but he did but we all still loved him because of his superstar status. Sheva is a football legend and we're proud to say he was here wearing the Chelsea shirt. Torres hasn't had the best Chelsea career to date but he's still Fernando Torres, one of the best strikers in world football and he's only 27. He could maybe, just maybe go and bag another 15 goals this season and be back to his old self next season. The likelihood is that he probably wont but we all respect what he's done in his career to date. We could go n get Messi, Villa, Xavi etc, they could completely flop but we'd always support them and be willing for them to do well. They don't mean to play badly, it's just obviously not the team for them but it doesn't mean they have gone shit. Compare Torres to Kalou today. Torres was better at everything from tackling to having more shots to running and beating defenders, to scoring, to assisting and to working for the team. This is a Typical Torres performance when he's in the mood and in form. Kalou would never, ever be able to come close to replicating it because quite simply, whether he's banging them in or not, Torres is 100x the better player in every aspect.
  2. That FK was genius. Brilliant strike.
  3. Unfortunately i think Roman will get someone else in but Robbie has done a perfect job so far so you never know. If we somehow can win the FA Cup and come 4th and maybe get to the UCL Semi's/Final he may have a chance. If we win the UCL, he'll definitely get the job nailed on.
  4. Hopefully there's no hard feeling from any of the players that play this season in the UCL clashes. Nice to know they chose us tho, maybe it's a present from Benfica for ruining AVB's life.
  5. I lip read Robbie shouting "Dan! Pass the fucking ball man" i laughed when i saw that. He didn't shout the last part but i saw him say it. He didn't listen much, though.
  6. My problem with Kalou is quite simple. For someone who has a decent amount of ability, he should produce a hell of a lot more than what he does and should manage to get past defenders and put in a telling final ball. He clearly doesn't have the beating of defenders or a final ball. He's not a bad finisher but just don't produce often.
  7. Players feel more free and more relaxed. We have won 4 games tho that we probably should win and we might've won them under AVB anyway but i don't think there's any secret that the players were so happy that AVB got the boot. These next 10 days are absolutely mega huge.
  8. That's an awesome semi final line up on paper. Chelsea vs Tottenham & Liverpool vs Everton, 2 derbies and 2 very tasty games which would be great for football. Sunderland - Bolton final it is then. Think it's O'Neil's time.
  9. Took his goal really well today by the way, finished it very nicely. Will stop there
  10. where's the usual man of the match poll?
  11. Shouldn't happen because if it does, it will just kill Scottish football and tbh in recent years the 2 old firm teams haven't been as good as they were in the late 90's mid 00's so there's no point now. I do believe though that the Carling Cup should be scrapped for a British cup involving all teams from the prem, Scottish prem and maybe the welsh n Irish too. Why not?
  12. Obviously this thread will be on fire now lol but fuck me what a performance from him. This is Torres, this is what everyone knows of him, this is not just his best Chelsea performance but one of his all time best. Ok... so it's against Leicester but they are not a bad side at all. I know some of you people will put a downer on it but this is a great day for Torres and all of the fans who get behind him.
  13. Great attacking display except for Sturridge being the greediest of greedy cunts all game. Was a shame Leicester scored 2 but our matches with them are always kinda exciting lol. Torres was unbelievable, ran at defenders, showed a great touch and showed he still has his pace and his scoring touch is finally back which is awesome and even had 2 assists ffs what more can you do in a match? Absolutely immense. A really good day and WEMBERLEEEE here we come again!!
  14. Ok so Romeu and Lukaku are not there again, really, really annoying. Does Romeu have twitter or any form of communication? I'd love to know where he is. He was great earlier in the campaign.
  15. Apparently wasn't a heart attack, he just went into cardiac arrest and was very lucky that the medical team got to him so quickly to restore his heart beat.
  16. He must start, he's fresh, he aint played much and i believe he'll 100% start this game. I'm sure he'll get chances, just hope he can finally catch a shot clean. This is big for Torres, he's never been to Wembley... in fact i don't think he's even won a club trophy so he should be hyped for this.
  17. Yeah still critical but at least he's still with us. That Sevilla player died 3 days after his ordeal on the pitch whilst in hospital. The next 24 hours are really vital in his recovery.
  18. Feeling rather nervous about this because it's a quarter final and it's to get back to Wembley. I know Leicester should be fairly routine work but then Birmingham was supposed to be too. I think this will be a pretty tight game, i reckon we'll win it but it really wont be easy at all. They'll run us all the way. Changes are a must. These next few weeks are hectic beyond belief.
  19. He's critically ill in intensive care, just can hope he gets better as soon as poss.
  20. That's true.... We didn't win a single game in that kit yet we won the league and Didier Drogba did this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v753atCKK50 Plus... it is a really nice shirt. I have one in L, it's too big for me now lol. In fact i have like 15 shirts in L....
  21. The Messi goal was just stupidly good. What can anyone say about this guy? He makes everything look so easy, even the stuff that is ridiculously difficult. To flick the ball over the keeper with so much loft and dip from that distance from the keeper takes some doing that is for sure, oh and he set it up by nutmegging the defender horribly, poor lad. He does this shit for fun and all the time. He has like 150 goals in 200 games for Barca. He's only around 6 goals away from being their all time top scorer and he's what, 24...25? fucking hell.
  22. News in that he's in a stable condition. Great news coming through on SSN!
  23. Actually it was worse, it was Wigan that beat us 3-1 but Villa did beat us, as did everyone else. Blackburn KO'd us out the Carling Cup in it too
  24. Can't be, if you want to keep him, you have to surely utilize him otherwise why keep him? Barca probably aint thinking about him anyway. If he ends up being world class and he wants to go back, take 30 million for him and say farewell.
