so what are the reserve players / youth players here for then? Honestly... what is the point? At least use them in the first half and if it's not going well, change some things. He'll moan later on in the season about having too many games yet wont rest them when he has a chance to.
-
I think that was sarcastic. Well, i hope so.

Should we have given Steve Clark the job when Jose left?
Ollie replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I think we should've done because i think things would've carried on pretty much the same way as Clarke was here and knew how things were. Should give the job to Brendan Rodgers in the future. Fantastic manager. -
Did anyone even see SNN this morning? Ferguson mentioned about Lampard. He didn't say he was after him but did mention something. "You are not going to tell me Chelsea would sell Frank Lampard to Manchester United in January. Do you really believe that?," Ferguson told a news conference on Friday. "There is no foundation to that." "Chelsea are like us. They want to do something. The second half of the season is important to us. "What can you get in January? The players we'd like we can't get. If the alternative is to sign a second-rate player, we don't want to do that." He did say that, was on SSN. It wont happen tho, it's a 1000000/1 shot.

Playing our strongest possible side? I'm sure that's BS, it has to be. There is absolutely no sense at all to risk JT & play Ashley Cole. If he plays them and doesn't play McEachran, Bertrand and the like, they should all just hand in transfer requests because they are never gonna get a chance here, we're just ruining their careers.
-
ok so he want's more than 50,000 a week and a guaranteed first team slot? He's having a bubble, go somewhere else then you greedy bastard. What have you even done in your career? Chelsea is probably to big a club for you anyway, prove yourself properly before thinking you're all mr big shot.

I believed this was the case even before the sun's story. Every time AVB gets interviewed and Lampard's name comes up, he changes the subject. I don't believe newspapers, i know when something's up and something's up. In his interview after Man City, AVB was given a question regarding Lampards spirit to come off the bench and taking the penalty after he'd missed 2 pens in a row in a huge situation near the end of a big game, he just dismissed it. I noticed this shit a long time before the fucking sun did.

Well Robben and Ribery work so well together but Ribery is getting a tad old. I'd have Robben back in an instant, best winger in form we ever had. Will never forget his goal away at St James'
-
Very epic, the more players from the same country will improve the communication and the spirit too and they would be happy together i'm sure. Id rather wait til summer and bring Robben back with Ribery. That really would be epic. Edit: actually Ribery is getting on now isn't he, how quick time flies, remember him fuck England up in the U21's! Option A it is

Would be good to get Navas and have another Spaniard in there. Him and Hazard are genuine options tho because of who they play for. Not exactly a top european team. Hazard wouldn't be able to play in Europe though.
-
Worst player on the pitch today and that's saying something with Carroll at the other end.
-
It should always be club first but that doesn't mean showing players, especially club legends, a lack of respect. A manager should praise any match winner whether it's Lampard or Kalou, not snub them. If the manager wants his players to like and respect him, he needs to show the same to them. Their the ones going onto the pitch, fighting for the points at the end of the day.

Well i believe Mata should be one of the 3 in the middle and not out wide. His ability is wasted out there. He's been good but could've been better as a genuine playmaker. We have a Modric in him. I don't know how good Neymar is on the wings or if he's only an out and out striker but this boy has everything, amazing talent. He will be the next Ronaldo/Messi level player when he comes to europe.
-
I don't know how many who would say no to Neymar. I certainly wouldn't. Put mata in the midfield and push Neymar up. Anyway it's highly unlikely.
-
Well no one expected the Torres transfer, i think we could be quietly up to something big again. Neymar would be able to play in the UCL of course as would anyone who hasn't played in the UCL group stages. Hulk couldn't, Pato couldn't, Modric could. We'll see.
-
Come on he's only just gone there so he wont just leave. Very, very good prospect though and has great technical ability and skill.
-
Heard a few times that we are gonna get £150m to spend in January but really can't see how you can do that much business in this time of year unless he's targeting 1 or 2 superstars. Can't see that tho because of European commitments such as the UCL and the Manchester Thursday night cup.
-
Torres was the best player on the pitch, most of our chances came through him and what a wonderful pass it was to Ash for the winner.
-
It's definitely true because i've noticed it in interviews even before this story was out. I know it's true. Gave him no credit against Man City, gave him no credit yesterday and NEVER includes his name in interviews when he does mention players. There's something going on with them 2.
-
AVB did the same in the interview after Man City, he completely avoided the question and didn't talk about Lampard. We all know him and the players don't get on, it's quite obvious. A happy team and a together team plays better than we have this season. I just hope the win against wolves does help everyone unite and genuinely does kick start the season because there are problems there for sure with JT, Lamps and AVB. Lampard is 33, he's not 25 so he can't play every game but he needs to be treated a lot better and with more respect because he's a proper Chelsea legend and AVB was here when he was at his absolute best from 2004-2008. If we don't unite, we can forget about getting 4th.
-
Well, Jack McCarthy obviously watched the game. Very good comment lol.
-
Yeah i heard that too lol was funny the way he came out with that.
-
I also think we made a mistake with him but we don't know what will happen. Maybe his tactics have been shit, maybe his subs have been shit but he's learning and he needs to be given time to make his mark on the team. He's a smart guy and he's young and i fully believe he will see out the 3 years which is long enough to make that mark. He's had 5 months with the likes of Kalou, Malouda, Mikel, Bosingwa, A lack of a confident in form striker, Ageing Drogba, Lampard and Terry, Anelka and Alex handing in transfer requests etc, etc. He was never gonna guide that team to the top of the league in just 1 transfer window. He had to use those players first. A young inexperienced manager shouldn't be put in this situation with a team like Chelsea but the fact is, is that he is and we need to get behind him because he is going to be here for 3 years whether we like it or not. Let's hope he can turn our season around.
-
Think i touched a nerve. Aww bless. Truth hurts. At the end of the day, i've posted what i've needed to post, i've said everything i've needed to say and i will only judge AVB when he he's had time to create his own Chelsea with his own players in his own formation playing his own style. That's when we can trully judge him. Now he's had half a season in charge, he can now see what he has, who he needs to sell and who he needs to keep. It's simply impossible to judge him now, only an idiot would call for him to get sacked and judge him now. I know i said a few hasty things after Villa but i was pretty pissed off to say the least, but i do realise that it will take a bit of time to be settled and we have to just bite the bullet and allow our club to go through this transitional period. We may not enjoy the next 2 years but we have to keep the faith and trust in the board, the owner, the manager and any players he wants to bring in to make us a great team for the future. It's all about the future now. I don't like to argue with fellow members but some people really need a reality check. We aint Barcelona, we aint a name like Real Madrid or Man Utd and we are also going through a period where things are changing so we all have to be patient.

Lukaku should go on loan to a london club like QPR or West Ham
