He's the long ball option. If he wasn't playing, we woulda lost the game. I remember when we were losing to Arsenal 1-0, we brought Anelka on and played him with Drogba and hammered the long balls up to Didier. They linked superbly and we won 2-1. He's the only striker we have with strength, height and the long ball game. It's also another sign to bring back the good ol' 4-4-2. He uses it like he used Crespo with Drogba and that was wonderful too, especially against West Ham. Ba should start against Sunderland.

Needs a run in the team, surely? Or at least not as far away from it as he has been? He's such a presence and can be so deadly. I really don't see much wrong with him. He's big, pretty quick, makes good runs, strong, good in the air, direct... He should definitely be playing more, definitely!

Probably the worst thing i've ever seen, seeing Essien like that. At least Jose didn't humiliate him and drag him off before H/T like Joe Cole because he deserved it.

£30m for him is sick. Not sick as in the way it's said nowadays, sick as in... SICK. He's alright, pretty solid and good target man abilities but £30m for someone in the Portuguese league? £18m max for me. Why don't we just play Demba Ba more?

Absolutely no idea why he didn't play midweek. That was a huge error in the type of game where there was no risk. Oscar, Ramires and Willian did precisely nothing between them and we went the whole game without a shot off or on target. Shocking. We lost yet we're in a fantastic position. I'll never know or understand Jose's thinking midweek.

Don't see why we shan't win this. They are in a false position and this is as good a time as any to see them start falling away. They took 4 points off us last season so we'll get em back tomorrow.

He's been shit all season (for his talent). He needs a good performance today if he actually plays. He just needs to have one of those outstanding games. We love football and we always wanna see our team do well. Because our football is so well supported, even getting some teams with 20/30,000 fans in league 1/2 the lower league fans see this as their chance to watch their team at the highest level, almost like a champions league. We're a true football country. To be honest... we're a true sporting country, you see the same support at Rugby and Cricket away too from us.

I don't really know what to make of this game. West Ham are a weird team. Man City won easily there and without a striker West Ham have shown no attacking threat for some time. We should win this comfortably tbh.

I wouldn't mind if he went tbh. Something about him recently has annoyed me. His passing is shocking and he just doesn't seem to do as much as he did. Maybe he'll up his game but i've not liked him this season.

I think Ramos did get dressed in the dark as it appears he also walked into the door. I'll miss the playoffs today as am going out but the Sweden - Portugal tie will be a belter. I reckon Portugal will sneak it overall but would not be at all surprised if Sweden won it. They showed they can score goals against Germany and have the 2nd leg at home to could be deemed as favourites. Also Zlatan does more for Sweden than Ronaldo does for Portugal. As for England i don't care except for Franks cap, i watched Salas destroy us in 98, they will beat us again i believe. What a horrible weekend of matches. Arsenal go 5 points clear, we lose and they put on 2 of the shittest matches i've ever seen today. I fell asleep during the Welsh game.

I don't blame Jose at all for yesterday because he picked a very attacking team who were very much in form. The players just simply didn't turn up. On Wednesday he should play the same team that beat Arsenal with possibly Oscar coming in. I'm glad he said what he did because it shows he was as pissed off as we were and he thought we were as shit as we thought. We will bounce back though.

Sorry guys i knew this would happen. We won 6 games in a row, they had a really bad couple of weeks so it was a home banker to me. We'll bounce back though, it will be the start of another great run so it's not all that bad. All runs have to come to an end. We were awful. We'll be back.
