Tbh, if Matic, Ivanovic and Cahill will be forced out of the team because of yesterday's result, I'm happy that the game turned out as it did. Ever since the game against Spurs during 14/15 season, I've been hoping that they get sacked. It's finally happening and we are finally going to fix a problem that has been there for 2 (!!) years.

Baker, Abraham, Traore, Christensen all shining on loan whilst the first team is falling apart and in desperate need of fresh air and new players. This club is truly and beyond mad.

NO! Cahill has to be dumped. I'm fine with that formation and with the fact that Luiz might be an excellent choice for CDM positie, but only when Zouma has fully recovered. Before that it has to be either Terry-Luiz, Terry-Ivanovic or Ivanovic-Luiz (god forbid) at the back.

I don't see alternatives to this line-up. Ivanovic, Matic, Cahill and Willian must stay far away from the starting line-up. It would be interesting to see more of that 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 formation but I'm afraid we just don't got enough decent centrebacks for it at the moment. Let's just pray that Terry is fit! And hopefully in few weeks time Zouma will be too.

It's all getting clearer now. The youth team is playing modern and exciting football with technique, skill and swagger. Meanwhile the first team is playing medieval shitshow that should be played behind closed doors and without any kind of TV coverage. The youth players have been too good for this team all along and they've been smart enough to avoid ruining their careers by playing with Willian, Ivanovic, Matic, Cahill, Pedro and the co. That's why we've have been issues with integrating players from the academy.

From KDB and Mata to Willian, Oscar and Pedro. It's going to take years to fix this mess Special One left us in. And Conte is doing fuck all at the moment.

Ready in a sense that before Tuesday, last time Alonso played a full game was a month ago. Ivanovic has been playing all season, albeit dreadfully. Nevertheless, Alonso hasn't had the chance to play with the team and there might be question marks over his current fitness levels. And that is all because of Conte. IMO, Alonso should have already couple games under his belt at this point.

Alonso isn't ready yet for a big game like this. Who else would you start at LB besides Azpi? Yes, i'd like to see Ivanovic far away somewhere on the Eastern side of the Ural Mountains at this point but I can understand why Conte has selected this back four. I've been one of his critiques, but oh boy, it's real refreshing seeing Cesc in the starting line-up!

I wish we would play 4-4-2. That would give Hazard more space on the left as the Liverpool defence would have their hands full with Costa & Michu. Too bad our central midfield apart from Kante doesn't really allow us to use that formation. I believe that David Luiz will have a fantastic second debut, possibly a MOTM worthy performance.

I guess it depends what on Verratti wants. He's been playing in one team league for the past years, does he really want to do that all over again? If the answers is no, that also cancels out Bayern.

RM can't get him due to the transfer ban. I think the battle for Verratti will be between CFC, ManUnited, Barcelona and Bayern. The one advantage we've got is Antonio Conte and his relationship with Verratti. I hope that Conte understands how important signing this could be for the future of this club. He needs to do everything in his power to make this happen. The club can't get Griezmann either due to the transfer ban so Verratti should definitely be the #1 target next summer.

As a striker in 3-5-2, 4-2-4, 4-4-2....the position where he belongs, alongside a more physical striker like Batshuayi or Costa. 3 top players for 2 positions, assuming that Conte would want to play with 2 strikers, would be ideal. Obviously if plan is 4-3-3 or 3-4-3, he isn't needed.
