  1. His brain switches off in the attacking third. However, last week we criticised him after first half and he really turned up in the second. So let's see if he can improve again.
  2. Bring on Batshuayi for Willian. It's exhausting to watch him slow down every attack.
  3. Very much so. This looks like Pedro from the Everton game. Pedro, Hazard and Cesc have been amazing so far.
  4. R.I.P Batshuayi. Clearly doesn't have a future at Chelsea
  5. Lol judging from those strengths he seems like a footballing god. I gotta take a closer look at this fella.
  6. How does a player become worse than what he was in the beginning by spending four and a half years at the club playing with Hazard, Mata, Willian, Lampard, Costa, Drogba, Luiz, Terry, Kante and others whilst being coached by Di Matteo, Benitez, Mourinho, Hiddink and Conte? How the hell does he not improve during all those years considering all the facilities, resources and talented people around? How does he become a worse player during that time? Can't really blame lack of playing time either since the club showed incredible patience with him. So much potential. Wasted potential. Thanks for the memories and enjoy your retirement in China, Oscar.
  7. Make it happen! The club needs more highly talented players. Those who got "that special something", in FIFA terms. Not 100% sure how he would fit in 3-4-3 though. IMO he seems to be tailor made for that Bergkamp/Litmanen shadow striker role. So, ideally he'd be better off in 3-5-2, 4-4-2, 4-2-4 formations. Or 4-2-3-1.
  8. One thing I've liked about the 3-4-3 is the width that we have in attack. That's one of the reasons why Moses has been such a success during the first half of the season. Pedro, Hazard and Costa move all over the final third and that has offered Moses with acres of space on the right. Likewise, Alonso has enjoyed that space as well although his achievements in the attack have been less convincing thus far. Nevertheless, if we move to a 2-striker system, Moses and Alonso will have far less space to operate on the wings and as a result, our wing play could become very limited. As far as I understand, the lack of width has also been the main reason why 3-5-2 has not become such a big hit outside of Torino, and why no team in recent memory has not won the Champions League with that formation. I'd suggest that we play 3-5-2 against the big teams when we need more steel in the middle. However, we should keep playing 3-4-3 against small and mid-table teams with Fabregas alongside Kanté to maximize the creativity in midfield whilst also having a real threat from the wings.
  9. Alonso does have some proper qualities and a sweet left foot, I'm sure nobody is denying that. However, he is still so slow that it is becoming a problem. He's not fast enough to cover the opponent's wingers. All our opponents will be targeting our left side for a reason. From a mile away one can see that Gary Cahill and Marcos Alonso are not on the same level as rest of the players in our current starting XI. I wish we could clone Victor Moses and make the new one left-footed. That's the type of player we should have as a left wingback. Marcos Alonso could still feature as a left centreback - I think that role could suit him quite nicely.
  10. Could be a decent left wing-back
  11. I wouldn't be so sure about that. PSG got drawn against Barcelona in the Champions League. It's pretty much game over from them as their chances of going to the next round are like 10%. They might as well sell Verratti for big bucks and start building a team for next season.
  12. If he was English Manchester City would have bought him for a world record transfer fee.
  13. Oscar money just made this transfer a real possibility. No reason not to buy him now. Get him!
  14. WTF 70 MILLION FOR OSCAR??!!!!! I must be dreaming
  15. You claim to know what the guy is thinking and yet you can't spell his name correctly. Convincing.
  16. Drogba-esque performance from Costa. Fantastic finish and kept fighting until the final whistle. It wasn't pretty game from us but it was never going to be knowing the opposition. Guardiola would have lost this game.
  17. I'm actually fairly confident that we can get Van Dijk if the club shows any interest in him. Chelsea would be the perfect place for this type of player and I'm sure he would be a massive success as a centreback in our 3-4-3 formation. And why wouldn't he want to join a club that is going to win the title in May?
  18. City starting XI is insane. There should be plenty of space for our attacking three.
  19. I'd send him to Chapecoense, free of charge.
  20. So thats around 75m€ deal, 50 for Verratti and 25 for Cesc. Good deal for both sides IMO. I don't think PSG are asking for much more, considering that they are getting a top player in return.
  21. Subbing two of our best players? Better win this now or else Conte is gonna look like a fool.
  22. What is wrong with these kids and their wage demands? Solanke has never played a full game for the first team so he should aware of his real worth. I know the price of accommodation in London is insane but I'm sure he can get along with his current wage just fine. Earn your place in the team, and then earn a higher wage. There should be a wage cap for young players. I don't see any reason why an under 20-year old player would need to earn more than £15k-£20k. With the current trend, the club might as well just buy senior back-up players as it is getting too expensive to keep so many unproven overpaid youngsters in the books.
  23. Any updates on how he's doing? Like mentioned above, he could be an excellent option for left wing-back.
  24. To be honest all above decent players are too good for Eredivisie. But yeah, I'm definitely hoping that Conte is aware of this guy cause he's a serious talent and could easily be part of the first team already.
