Better than Lukaku for sure. He also has scored very important goals at a crucial times which always a sign of a good player.

Good to hear that it is only a verbal agreement and lets hope that it stays that way. It's highly likely that its bullshit though.

I wish we could buy Griezmann, Nainggolan, Kanté, Bonucci and Stones, sell the deadwood and bring few loanees like Baker and Ake into the squad. Should be a title contender. But yes I know, highly unrealistic to buy all of them.

Looking at the Saints game simultaneously with our game against The Champions, one player stands out from the Saints. Virgil Van Dijk. Solid, solid defender with technical abilities, strength, speed and apparently he even takes the free kicks nowadays. Possible target in the summer?
-
Why not go with Fabregas, Matic; Willian, RLC, Hazard instead? RLC should get more minutes for fuck sake!

Zlatan is the ultimate mercenary in modern football and even though he spent only 4 seasons at PSG, he received a proper tribute by the club. No matter how the situation with Terry's contract will unfold, the manner the board have dealt with this is nothing short of disgraceful. The sort of mistake that should force someone to resign/ to be fired in the administrative part of the club.

No words. I'll never forget this game.

Talking about hidden gems, I think the next proper Dutch striker is currently playing in AZ and his name is Vincent Janssen. Top scorer in Eredivisie with 25 goals and only 21 years old . He seems pretty complete with ball control, strength and finishing ability. He caused problems for Jagielka and Stones in NL - ENG match earlier this year. His dribbling is on the level of Diego Costa (hopefully it will get better) but his vision and passing range are way better. Could be a bit of a gamble as a 2nd striker for next season but I think he has a lot of potential. Edit. Looking at Bayern's line-up today, I think Muller and Benatia might be available in the summer. Whether we could get them is a whole another story, of course. Also, who knows if they will be favoured by Ancelotti next year but maybe Muller wants to look for new challenges. Same for Benatia. At the moment, they are clearly seem to be surplus for Guardiola.

60 mil euro? Thats Di Maria money on a bang average player who in fact, like you said, does miss sitters quite often. We already have Oscar doing his job.

It is a beautiful idea to have players covering for other players' weaknesses but in reality it doesn't work. We tried that with by Ivanovic covering our lack of physicality in midfield. We tried that with Azpilicueta covering for Hazard's lack of defensive mentality and for covering Terry's lack of pace. And here we are, having our worst season in a very long time. We are facing a massive rebuilding of the squad because of this mentality. We ditched KdB because he didn't have a place in this "system", because Mourinho's number 10 role was build on the basis of covering for other midfielders and attackers. In modern football you need to have complete players in order to succeed. If we are actually planning on winning something, Fabregas cannot be our main midfield playmaker. Nevertheless, it is good that he is performing now. Maybe that'll add couple more millions to his price-tag in the summer.

What a sad lineup that is.

Considering our performance this season together with the massive amounts of money every PL team is getting, I'd say we are going to spend big this summer. Add that with the Yokohama deal and CFC definitely has the resources to pull off 2-4 major transfers this summer, especially if players like Oscar, Matic etc. are leaving. We need 2 centrebacks and 2 midfielders, probably a goalscoring winger/striker so I believe we are going to witness the busiest summer transfer window in recent memory.

Oh I agree that it would be nice to have Christensen back next season already but I've read multiple rumours that Gladbach are negotiating to make him stay another year. Also, Stones might be available for a slightly reduced price due to his lack of form this season so it might be a gamble worth taking. If he doesn't perform up to the level everyone expects, we could just sell him somewhere else and replace him with Christensen in the following season. Juventus seem to value many of our players including Cuadrado and Oscar, so I guess there is a very small chance that we could be able to negotiate a transfer for Dybala in exchange for multiple players. The lad is still very young and Premier League teams can easily pay twice or three times as much as Juventus can. Would he want to move to a team that doesn't play in the Champions League for at least one season? Who knows. Di Maria didn't seem to mind when he made his decision to move to ManU. Also, Conte seems to value Dybala and considering the respect Serie A players in general have for Conte, I bet we might have a chance.

My dream team for next season: Goalkeepers: Courtois, Begovic Defenders: Bonucci, Stones, Zouma, Terry -- Azpilicueta, Ake, Baba Midfielders: Pjanic, Nainggolan, Kante, RLC, Baker Attackers: Willian, Pedro, Traore, Costa, Hazard, Griezmann/Dybala On loan: Christensen, Musonda, Solanke, Kenedy, Miazga. Sell: Salah, Cuadrado, Oscar, Mikel, Matic, Cesc, Cahill, Ivanovic, Remy

Lol, I obviously meant LB I love the way he dribbles, too. Actually reminds me of Di Maria at times.
-
One of the best LBs in the world, if not the best. And we Mourinho let him go so that Ivanovic could still have a place in the squad. Madness.
-
I hope he understands that Oscar is not up to the standards of this club BEFORE next season. I'm gonna lose it if he will line-up with Oscar and Cuadrado in his first league game in charge.
-
My thoughts exactly. Replace Oscar with Traore or Kenedy and that line-up would have been perfect. Also, would be really exciting to see Colkett in action! He was more than impressive in pre season and I would love to see more talented English midfielders in the squad for next season.
-
4-3-3 with a midfield: RLC ---------- Baker Kante (or similar player) I have a dream.
-
I'd give him away for free.
-
Conte will make him world class
-
Get him back.
-
I understand your point of view but at the moment exchanging James for Hazard might be the only way to get any money at all. Hazard is amazing talent but he will never score enough goals to justify world record breaking transfer fees. New generation of equally talented wingers are already around of corner and many of them have the potential of Hazard combined with better scoring ability. Real Madrid and PSG are our only options in the summer where to offload Hazard and neither of them really need him.
-
At least we have Fabregas on the pitch. Having Gooner blood in his veins, he'll understand how important it is to lose this one.
-
This. How is it possible that a club this big hasn't been able to replace Ballack. And I mean, he left us 6 years ago... Think about it. The last time we had a world class box-to-box CM, Instagram hadn't been invented yet. Ever since, we've had Meireles (not true box-to-box), broken Essien and Ramires who was never good enough in the first place apart from few special goals.
