I saw on reddit that one of the posters was saying that Maresca is playing George to keep his value so that they can sell him in January.
-
Liverpool improved from last season, they basically upgraded Nunez into two technical goal scorers up front Arsenal go and get two talented defenders to join as squad players, Zubimendi to complement the midfield and even Madueke adds to their attack We just spent 90 million on two left wingers and yet George gets sent out there to do some cardio game after game. Why not give a chance to Josh in the back line or Santos in midfield? I hate seeing Reece in midfield, he's a natural winger/fullback, let him express himself on the flanks!

Exactly! Theres been so many warning signs as well especially defence but weve got lucky..until last week when the cracks really started to show. The team...its so mish mash. Very thrown toegther. Theres no one stand out really except Palmer on his good days but we dont have a player who makes a huge difference all the time. Liverpool and Arsenal have added talent to theirs and it shows and obs ambition..weve just added whatever

Definitely seems to be trying to make a point by bringing on George and not playing our new signings. Seems this is his obvious way of saying, you forced me into this, so this is what I am doing in return. He made it clear that it was board decision to part with Jackson. Why would he bring on George again when he looks so uncomfortable up top and he was meant to go Fulham. Just bizarre. Apart from that Fulham game when he came on and scored last season, he has not looked comfortable up front at all. So yeah, odd from Maresca for keep trying him up there.
-
Blokes a fucking clown I'm sick and tired of him and these fucking idiots at the top of the club From Maresca's shit line ups to not buying a top class striker and top class keeper you are watching the house of cards like we all predicted happen right in front of our eyes.
-
Maresca will be sacked in two weeks
-
And that's the tragic state of events I'm telling you now Maresca is at full war with the club by simply putting George on as striker, not using Facundo and putting square pegs in round holes, this is Maresca telling the club indirectly that they can fuck off

Also, no matter how much people don't like Jackson, Maresca made it clear that it was not his decision. Although we got a nice loan fee, it shows it is always about getting money.
-
I turned the game off after 15 mins couldn't stomach anymore. Sunderland fucking Sunderland win today at home to Villa go above us. We are a mess again, absolutely no better than last season, no improvement at all.

Long contracts are biting them in the butt No wonder they can't move Sterling and a bunch of others Injury crock Fofana is also going to join their dungeon squad. No way does it look like they'll get anywhere close to 70mill for Fofana again. 7 year contact and he's barely featured in 3 seasons. What a joke.
-
He won't be sold because it would be a massive hit to his book value. He got a 7 year contract back in 2022. Transfer was around 70-75 million.
-
It was on Maresca, you sub off two attackers that early in the game (knowing Cole isn't anywhere near 100%), then you throw on George and Gusto when we actually had a chance to have a go at United. At this point, I'm not sure what Maresca is trying to prove by bringing on George off the bench every other game.
-
The decisions are ALL based on money and orientated around profit margins. It came out the other day that the SD’s advised not to sell Madueke in fear of it being a mistake. Now he might go on to be utter shit but the owners still sanctioned the sale against the SDs wishes. That tells you everything you need to know. How can we put up with this.. these owners are taking the piss. Maresca crying out for a CB and they buy Garnacho. Now Maresca wont play £95m of wingers instead a young George who was neary sold. Wtf is this.
-
The squad is not good enough in ‘most areas’. Terrible GK Average CBs Average LWers Thin up top Look at our bench today… utterly uninspiring. This team is set up to fail with the bang average buys. It’s gone too far now. I’m not having it, i wont be supporting this board until they bring in ready made ballers of real top quality. Fuck this backing the ‘project’ to be ‘positive’ Chelsea fans for the sake of being positive. It’s a fucking joke hos these idiots have built this squad. Unforgivable.
-
Not sure how many people noticed Fofana starting to limp towards the end of the game. He's likely not going to shake off that injury liability tag, and the club would be sensible to allow him his preferred move to Marseille. I think he's the main reason the club won't go in for a quality experienced CB to pair with Colwill. Fofana is still first choice, in their heads.

Chalobah and Sanchez...
-
Chalobah’s post match interview “we are not kids anymore” Not so sure, the mantra that’s been coming out of the club and several players is that the team is young & lacks experience. Maybe a lot of them need to stop thinking like that and act like men. Soft soft soft team.

I’m not mad at the players or even the bulk of our recruitment. This squad is more than good enough in MOST areas to be performing much better than it has to start the season. I’m starting to get more and more pissed off about Maresca each week. The stupid team selections, where in the formation he plays players, how he decides to rotate, his rationale after games as to why he didn’t play certain players. And most importantly of all, the fact that seemingly EVERY match thus far it feels like we’ve started so fucking sluggishly and only ever begin to look better after we concede. For me that’s on the manager. He doesn’t have this team mentally ready. He has to get a bit of slack because he is being undermined by the fact that the club refused his request for a new CB. But then at the same time he has been in love with Rob Sanchez since he got here and defends him no matter what. Don’t think there’s any chance he gets the sack during the season and tbh that’s not something we need. But if we finish outside of the UCL places he should 100% be replaced once the season ends. It would be completely inexcusable to finish lower than 4th with the squad we have and the money we spent.
-
Sanchez only banned for 1 is good news - Regardless of the brain fade he’s the best keeper at the club currently
-
Went hiking and thankfully missed the game. We got away with ref decisions against Palace and Fulham or else we wouldn’t even be on 8 points right now. This is not so much on Maresca but on the board for turning the club into a player trading vehicle.
-
I never thought we would not when Liverpool mainly strengthen their squad and also Arsenal. It'll be between those two again. We'll scrape top 4 if that. We havent brought what we needed or anyone can think wow they'll have a impact on the team.. We've been lucky with the defence so far and VAR being around to help us.Fulham shouldve had their goal..and the cracks have been so clear since day one..sad just not seen. Duno if we'll beat Brighton probably a draw but we won't win against Liverpool unless they have some iffy day we dont

Get ready for more losses in the PL, just saw our upcoming fixture list 😆
-
Just wait for the next two games, Brighton & Liverpool will be having a party at the Bridge.
