Clearlake’s stance on selling Chelsea as Todd Boehly makes stadium plea https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/news/clearlakes-stance-on-selling-Chelsea-as-todd-boehly-makes-stadium-plea/ Clearlake Capital has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to Chelsea, quashing rumors of a sale and signaling its readiness to potentially increase its stake, even as Todd Boehly prepares to step down. The Chelsea ownership structure remains anchored by an agreement between Clearlake Capital and Todd Boehly, despite persistent rumors of internal friction. Clearlake, holding a 61.5% majority stake, has previously stated the club is not for sale and has even explored buying out Boehly’s minority share. While both parties have publicly insisted they remain aligned on the long-term BlueCo project, the stadium redevelopment, specifically the choice between expanding Stamford Bridge or moving to Earl’s Court, is viewed as the ultimate test for their partnership. 2027 is the year Boehly is expected to step down as chairman under a pre-arranged five-year rotation agreement. This transition will allow Clearlake to appoint its own representative or a third-party figure to lead the board. But, for now, Boehly remains focused on securing a definitive blueprint for the stadium. The Chelsea ownership situation Ben Jacobs, when speaking on the London is Blue podcast, has stated that Clearlake have no intention of selling Chelsea any time soon. Clearlake will not sell Chelsea. Boehly has already been down that route and explored it. Clearlake’s position is status quo or they would potentially be prepared to buy out Todd Boehly and increase their stake even more. Summer 2027 is a timeframe when we could see some discussions on what to do next from Todd’s side. There will be a new chairman, and he knows Clearlake’s not-for-sale position and that they have no intention to leave. What Todd wants is progress on the stadium. What is going on with Paul Winstanley? Paul Winstanley remains a part of Chelsea’s long-term sporting project, recently signing a contract extension through 2031. However, Winstanley faces an increasingly restless fanbase and dressing room. While his track record for identifying talent is respected, the lack of immediate on-pitch success has led to external pressure. With Tottenham reportedly monitoring his situation, Winstanley’s focus has shifted toward a vital summer window. He is tasked with balancing the squad’s bloated numbers and finally securing the starting-level goalkeeper and striker needed to turn things around.

And rightly so, stick to it, he mouthed off and now needs to suffer. We won the game anyway.

ffs: Chelsea FC and the CPO have regular dialogue, and as of writing the club have not put forward any proposals for a new stadium. Therefore, the CPO have not voted on anything, and have not stopped any plans.

Won't believe any of it until they are holding the shirt up, heard all the noises like this before in regards to Rogers and other players. And then we end up with some German or Spaniard we have never heard of for 30M

Maresca Has Destroyed The Chelsea Ownership Enzo Maresca left Chelsea on January 1st. His recent Whats app Picture update reads 'Stay true to your principles, and don't sacrifice quality for profit.' If that isn't yet another damning indictment on the operations at Chelsea Football Club, then I don't know what is... Let me know your thoughts on these 'cryptic' Maresca comments!

IF Manure goes back to always being in the CL and perhaps winning some bigger trophies, they will easily be worth (sales price-wise) 8 billion pounds sterling by 2030 that is a 1,000 per cent increase in value over a 25 year period a 10-fold increase on your dosh in a quarter century not too shabby

Maybe because they are the most prevalent investors ? so not because they are American, just that there are only 3 PL Clubs that arent majority owned or partially invested by US billionaires. Why are there so many U.S. owners, and what is the appeal? In no particular order, it is about glamor, sporting excitement and ego. But primarily, it is about money. "From an investment perspective, the track record is compelling and Manchester United serves as a prime example," Chris Mann, head of sporting strategy and insight at Sportsology Group, which has advised on Premier League club acquisitions, told ESPN. "The Glazers acquired the club for around £800 million in 2005, and by the time of Ineos' investment in February 2024, the total enterprise value of United was over £4 billion -- that's a 400% increase over 20 years. Why 'American owners' is always portrayed in a negative way? Do you know who is current champion? Do you know who's gonna win the league this season? Their owners are from where?

Chelsea have now hyped the summer window up so much that if they fail yet again, they might as well sack themselves.... Damn the protests, I predict a riot! https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/Chelsea-have-now-hyped-the-summer Obviously there wont be any riots (I hope), nor am I encouraging them with my tongue in cheek subtitle. But if Chelsea fail to deliver this summer, then I honestly think that anyone involved in making the decisions at this club will just need to say enough is enough, hold their hands up, say they tried, and then quit the club. I mean, just hand it over to Katie Price’s boyfriend, it would be THAT bad (I’m joking on that bit). Can you imagine, after the amount they have fully hyped up this coming summer transfer window, that they then go on to sign average or slightly better than average players, and it fails again? After everything they’ve put out in the media saying we are going to be signing more experience, or more established players this summer, after Liam Rosenior being out there telling us to all watch this space and ‘you will see’ come the summer, that they just continue down this failing path they are on instead? All hell would break loose. If they think Chelsea fans are angry now, let’s see them in that scenario. “We’ve had a lot of exciting conversations about how we can move things forward this summer,” Liam Rosenior said just this week. “You’ll see. You’ll see in the actions that we take, rather than the words that I speak now.” “Privately, the club have assured Marc Cucurella and captain Reece James - the latter during his most recent contract renewal - that signings with proven Premier League experience will arrive at centre‑back, central midfield and in attacking areas,” Nizaar Kinsella of The BBC wrote earlier this week. Time will tell. Actions speak louder than words. The proof will be in the pudding. And all those other relevant expressions. Not one single Chelsea fan is believing any of this right now, I assure you that. I have ZERO faith that even if they have those intentions, that they will sign the right players that instantly improve our starting Xl right NOW! I have zero faith that they will bring in any of the right mentalities, leadership, and attitudes that we need to add in. And I have zero faith that they will add the physicality and height we need to add in. I will happily hold my hands up and applaud if they pleasantly surprise me this summer. But forgive me for losing my entire faith in the last four years, like many of us have. So, they are talking the talk, but can they walk the walk? We shall see. I beg them to finally get it right, but there’s only a certain amount you can do on this wage structure and potentially without Champions League football that we still need to make sure we get.
