Impending Chelsea signing ruled out for months with ‘frustrating’ injury https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/news/impending-Chelsea-signing-ruled-out-for-months-with-frustrating-injury/ Chelsea have already made four signings for the summer transfer window. The likes of Dastan Satpaev, Geovany Quenda, Emanuel Emegha and Denner are all set to join Chelsea after agreeing deals. Emegha currently plays at sister club Strasbourg, where he played under Liam Rosenior. However, there have been issues with the striker over in France. Emegha was suspended over behavioural problems and injuries have plagued him at times. But Liam Rosenior has been very complimentary of the striker, calling him ‘amazing’ and ‘fantastic’ during the win over Crystal Palace prior to moving to Chelsea. There’s bad news now, though. Emanuel Emegha ruled out for two months His last competitive appearance was on November 30, 2025, a brief 21-minute cameo in a 2-1 defeat to Brest. Following that match, he was handed a one-game internal suspension for comments regarding his future move to Chelsea and a perceived lack of respect for Strasbourg’s standing. During this disciplinary period, Emegha suffered a significant thigh injury in training. While he was nearing a return in late January, he suffered a muscle relapse just days ago. And according to Strasbourg manager Gary O’Neil, this latest setback is expected to sideline him for at least another two months. “Emanuel Emegha will be out for about 2 months. It’s very tough and frustrating for him. He injured himself in the same spot as last time.”

Delap played well when he was on... not sure why you threw his name into the mix. Also JP once again wreaking havoc with a superb performance.

Cole Palmer issues injury update after scoring hat-trick in Chelsea win vs Wolves https://metro.co.uk/2026/02/07/cole-palmer-issues-injury-update-scoring-hat-trick-Chelsea-win-vs-wolves-26764286/ Cole Palmer insists he is still not 100 per cent fit despite scoring a hat-trick in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Wolves on Saturday. The 23-year-old has missed over two months of the season due to a groin injury and Liam Rosenior has stressed the need to manage the midfielder’s minutes since his arrival at Stamford Bridge. Palmer cut a frustrated figure in the aftermath of Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday night, and the midfielder admits he has been unhappy due to his injury-hit campaign. ‘It felt good to score some goals and get three points,’ Palmer told BBC’s Match of the Day. ‘I don’t think [I’m 100 per cent fit] just yet. Obviously people don’t know what goes on behind the scenes but being injured the whole season is not ideal and when I’m not able to perform as I want to because I’ve been injured, and still dealing with the injury, but hopefully I can get over the injury soon by managing it. ‘I know what level I can provide when I feel 100% fit. Not being 100% fit isn’t ideal, I still feel like I can help the team but when I’m back to full fitness I feel like I can go to another level.’ Palmer also praised Rosenior’s impact after he replaced Enzo Maresca as Chelsea’s head coach last month. ‘Life under Liam is amazing, he gives us all confidence,’ Palmer said. ‘Lets us be ourselves, play free. I’m sure when I’m back proper fit you’ll see the best of me. Him and all the staff give us all confidence on the training pitch, with his strategies, the way we play, I really like it.’ Palmer also explained his celebration against Wolves as he covered his ears after scoring Chelsea’s first goal. ‘Everyone loves to chat rubbish, don’t they? I don’t pay too much attention to it. You see things,’ Palmer said. ‘But I feel like I’ve come from a strong place anyway so I don’t pay attention to it.’

Built like a brick wall and moves like one..

Ah, my bad, makes more sense!
-
I was talking about Kenan Yıldız: €6m net is around £202K PW gross
-
What? He earns 200k at Wolves??? You sure?
-
Hopefully he can get us a win against a top side..especially likes of Arsenal who we havent in 5 years and Man U and Liverpool who are our 4/5th rivals...but its good picking up points also in games we have been iffy before in. Though times do look off..
-
Yeah, if nothing else Rosenior has shown he can get the expected results against the sides we are expected to beat. Long may it continue. From a league perspective, that's the least we can ask for in order to secure top 4. That's the bar with this Clearlake side.
-
If anything shoulder injuries don't cause long term issues
-
No point talking about schedule in PL. Especially team like United is known for having a great record against top teams and completely opposite against lesser side. Also last couple of rounds almost half league have nothing to play for. AV was 11 points ahead of us 3 weeks ago now just 4. They have City and Liverpool last 2 rounds. Our games against them and United are 6 pointers. Last season we needed to beat Liverpool and United at the end and we did. Everything in our hands. We can easily finish 3rd.
-
Can't see us getting 5th unless Aston Villa tail off. Man United look refreshed and have no cup games left. Lots of rest between their league games. Liverpool also look like they are starting to click.
-
Palmer taking digs at that bald loser you love to see it.

Cole Palmer: Life under Liam is amazing, he gives us all confidence. Lets us be ourselves, play free. I'm sure when I'm back proper fit you'll see the best of me” ( @BBCMOTD ) #CFC ajhaha

Liverpool also have a tough schedule. City, United and Villa away and a derby. brighton is also a tricky game
-
The league is more or less won unless Arsenal imploded completely especially if City lose tommrow soo be nice to help a neighbour out 🤣 again shite record against them...5 years no win.. For us just depends which team turn up! And which half they feel like playing well during! Thats our downfall. Need to play well the whole game not a half then nahhhh
-
manchester are at home along tottenham, newcastle are awful. the problems are liverpool, arsenal and sunderlanda way. related to villa, I think they are playing badly and I think we can win that game but lets see... liverpool also have a tricky schedule
-
we have, by far, the hardest EPL games remaining run-in of all the top teams, FFS 6 games versus 'top' teams away to Arse away to Villa home v NUFC home v Citeh home v Manure away to Pool plus, other really tricky games: away to Everton away to Brighton home v Spuds away to Sunderland on the last day
-
The Chelsea game..least its at the Bridge! Surely next year we can beat the 13 year curse!
-
Manure doing what they are doing is shocking tbh Carrick has done an amazing job so far I so hope they crash and burn, BUT I am not counting on it their games remaining: (only 4 of the 13 EPL games left for them are on paper 'hard', as in fellow top EPL teams 'hard': Away at NUFC, home to Villa, massive game versusChels at the Bridge, and then at home to Pool)
