Because they are doing exactly what the owners want.. they are executing the plan to a tee. They will only be in trouble if the players they buy don’t sell in the future. Hopefully The Arsenals and The Man Uniteds wise up and stop bailing these idiots out.
-
It’s painful knowing how we went from spending money without a care in The World in search of success at any means necessary under Roman to this… buy young, loan for a fee yearly or sell as soon as profit is made on that asset with success being a bonus if it happens but not really fussed as long as the players sell.
-
Remember months ago when I said we should buy him and some cunts laughed at me? And now he goes to Liverpool or Madrid and becomes a world-class defender. Many of our fans are just as terrible as our board
-
looool no way

and the owners renew sport directs contracts ffs

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, 25, has informed his advisors he would prefer to join Real Madrid after his summer move to Liverpool collapsed. (Mirror)

Why was The Argie on loan ready on the bench if you know Palmer has a groin problem? Isn’t he meant to be there for that very reason? He must be pissed that we didn’t get Xavi or Fermin.. it’s the only explanation.

Wasn't he asked the same question in one of the previous games and I'm pretty sure he responded with something like George needed minutes more than Guiu or something along those lines. Alot of his decisions recently seem quite poor. Like with Palmer today, if he wasn't ready to go, why start with him and potentially make his injury worse?

George has no value to keep up. League 1 standard. Boards gotta pull the trigger and hire someone actually good for once, or the club is finished until they sell

Just when i find the strength to actually say a few positive words on this absolute fraud of a goalkeeper he goes a does that…. never again will i fold for these ‘everythings fine’ bunch and stick to my ball knowledge and call it for what it is… this guy is an utter embarrassment
-
If he is playing George up top because of the goal vs Fulham then he should be sacked immediately and never employed again.
-
It’s either that or what Juan said, he is at war with the board. I actually hope it’s because he is at war … if it’s to keep T.Georges value up then this club is beyond repair until these owners fuck off for good. I hate them soo much, it’s fucking with my head daily knowing i can’t enjoy my beloved club with all this shit going on ..

Starmer set to announce UK recognition of Palestinian state https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce800enrglzo Sir Keir Starmer is expected to announce the UK's recognition of a Palestinian state in a statement on Sunday afternoon. The prime minister said in July that the UK would shift its position unless Israel met several conditions, including agreeing to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and committing to a long-term peace process leading to a Palestinian state co-existing alongside Israel. The Israeli leadership has ruled this out since the start of the war following Hamas's attack in southern Israel on 7 October 2023 in which 1,200 people were killed and 251 taken hostage. The PM's move has drawn fierce criticism from the Israeli government, families of hostages held in Gaza and some Conservatives. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu previously said recognition of a Palestinian state "rewards terror". The decision to recognise a Palestinian state represents a major change in UK foreign policy, after successive governments said recognition should come as part of a peace process and at a time of maximum impact. snip

I saw on reddit that one of the posters was saying that Maresca is playing George to keep his value so that they can sell him in January.

Liverpool improved from last season, they basically upgraded Nunez into two technical goal scorers up front Arsenal go and get two talented defenders to join as squad players, Zubimendi to complement the midfield and even Madueke adds to their attack We just spent 90 million on two left wingers and yet George gets sent out there to do some cardio game after game. Why not give a chance to Josh in the back line or Santos in midfield? I hate seeing Reece in midfield, he's a natural winger/fullback, let him express himself on the flanks!

Exactly! Theres been so many warning signs as well especially defence but weve got lucky..until last week when the cracks really started to show. The team...its so mish mash. Very thrown toegther. Theres no one stand out really except Palmer on his good days but we dont have a player who makes a huge difference all the time. Liverpool and Arsenal have added talent to theirs and it shows and obs ambition..weve just added whatever

He's fucking shite

Spent billions to have the worst gk in the league

Definitely seems to be trying to make a point by bringing on George and not playing our new signings. Seems this is his obvious way of saying, you forced me into this, so this is what I am doing in return. He made it clear that it was board decision to part with Jackson. Why would he bring on George again when he looks so uncomfortable up top and he was meant to go Fulham. Just bizarre. Apart from that Fulham game when he came on and scored last season, he has not looked comfortable up front at all. So yeah, odd from Maresca for keep trying him up there.
-
Blokes a fucking clown I'm sick and tired of him and these fucking idiots at the top of the club From Maresca's shit line ups to not buying a top class striker and top class keeper you are watching the house of cards like we all predicted happen right in front of our eyes.
-
Maresca will be sacked in two weeks
-
And that's the tragic state of events I'm telling you now Maresca is at full war with the club by simply putting George on as striker, not using Facundo and putting square pegs in round holes, this is Maresca telling the club indirectly that they can fuck off
-
Also, no matter how much people don't like Jackson, Maresca made it clear that it was not his decision. Although we got a nice loan fee, it shows it is always about getting money.
-
I turned the game off after 15 mins couldn't stomach anymore. Sunderland fucking Sunderland win today at home to Villa go above us. We are a mess again, absolutely no better than last season, no improvement at all.

Long contracts are biting them in the butt No wonder they can't move Sterling and a bunch of others Injury crock Fofana is also going to join their dungeon squad. No way does it look like they'll get anywhere close to 70mill for Fofana again. 7 year contact and he's barely featured in 3 seasons. What a joke.
