  1. Past hour
  2. Quite sad situation really.last season he showed enough to warrant some faith in him for growth into more but Yul Quitter brainfarts him into a foreign position that made him look useless. then we blow 100m on 2 players for his position that aren't yet and may never be upgrades. Pure profit to then blow more than the amount we get.
  3. Surely Diego Costa was the ‘closest’ thing to Drogba. In reality, nobody is close to what Drogba was… he was one of a kind. My Legend.
  4. the first two season were good, not a top goalscore but a center forward that contributed a lot in our offensive attack
  5. Drogba was a beast, his first season he wasn't even that good, but as seasons grew on he became the most rounded striker I have ever seen These new modern day footballers are wanting it all on the plate, Drogba worked for goals, he made them for himself and made them for the team He was elite, the best I have ever seen
  6. I dont think any of them close., including Lukaku IMO. Drogba had it all. Attacking corners, defending corners, taking corners, taking direct free kicks, crosses from either wing with both left or right foot, long shots from outside the box, goals taken on the pivot, bringing down long passes from the goalkeeper, diving headers, bullet headers, penalties, the ability to play quick 1-2's with likes of Lampard and Hazard...the list goes on and on. Even if we ignore all the goals, he brings value to the team. This video from 2011 season, which was still a mediocre one from Drogba, shows what he can do even without scoring
  7. Close? If you going to use close then go Lukaku, not Joao Pedro
  8. Today
  9. great destination for Tyrique decent side who need a LWer (due to the season-ending injury for Grealish), great developmental manager (old head Moyes, who can help maturate the lad), new glistening stadium, rabid fanbase who are pretty tolerant (for scousers, lol) only downside is that it is in Liverpool, roflmaooooooooooooo
  10. Tbf, he was only saying the closest player we've had since. But I agree. There are several more levels to get to Didier Drogba. Its like a mountain.
  11. Don’t blame them.. Disasi is shite. We will have the same trouble with Badiashit and Tosin.
  12. Not really bothered if we win or go out here League should be the one we are focused on, top four and go as far as poss in the CL
  13. Please do not compare Pedro to Drogba, he is not even close, he's having a small purple patch that's it Drogba was a beast, this bloke is decent but is a complete pussy cat compared to Drogba
  14. These players like Disasi are so bad no fuckers want them
  15. Milan was just toying with us for Disasi
  16. He's doing very, very well since start of the year. Do it against Arsenal in the upcoming cup game & that will be as Drogba-like as it can get.
  17. Thing is we paid such a monster amount for Fofana that he’d count as a massive loss on the books, right? We ain’t getting a gigantic fee from Marseille for him. So that’s why instead I think it’ll be Trev that’s sacrificed because being homegrown he’s pure profit. Getting £10-20m for Tosin who we signed for free will also be easy profit.
  18. Yes I think he is gone one day to Marseille For him, he can go. He is a good player but too much injury prone and if we can get a good money for him, we can sell him the truth is that he only has 25 years old ,so he is young, so we can demand a lof of money and I really have doubt that Marseille can afford him
  19. 🗯W.Fofana will be arriving in Marseille in the foreseeable future; he is still here because his transfer fee was too high. It could happen in the summer before he gets injured again and is sidelined for a long time. 🔵⚪️ Wesley Fofana: "Olympique Marseille... we'll see one day." "I still have a contract until 2029, we'll see. Marseille is my city, my club, I am an OM supporter."
  20. Chalobah is the picture perfect Chelsea squad player. Good enough to regularly start games for us but not quite PL title challenging level. There’s no way we should be selling him but I wouldn’t be shocked if the directors decide to due to the sanctions fucking us over. They may see him as a big chunk of pure profit that’s too good to turn down since we have ready made replacements already on our books in Sarr, Josh, and Anselmino. So yes, I can picture Trev, Tosin, Badiashile, and Disasi all going and our sporting director’s ideal CB pairing or group of 3 being Jacquet & Colwill or Jacquet & Fofana or all 3 together. All depends on the wages we offer Jacquet I guess.
  21. If I were an Arsenal supporter, I’d prefer the team to be rotated, because the real focus is the Premier League.
  22. IDK if we try to sell chalobah but the others three I hope they be gone in the summer
  23. So the plan seems to be: - Anselmino to Strasbourg to replace Sarr, who in turn comes to us now. - Chelsea pursue a deal for Jeremy Jacquet, ideally now, but for the summer if need be (which I think will happen when the deadline gets closer). Disasi, Badiashile, Chalobah and Tosin to be put up for sale (Disasi now, remainder in summer). Colwill to return to the pitch before the end of the season, leaving their 'ideal' options as Colwill, Fofana, Sarr, Jacquet, Acheampong(?), even Tati from Nantes has come into the news today. Have to say, that's a strong CB pairing/depth.
  24. 5 years or so since or last win there..which was also our last win against them. 6 losses..3 draws since. I hope we can turn this around or least come back fighting!! Less of yesterday first half!
