If we have been linked to Tonali & are serious about it, pull the trigger. No questions or doubts. Genuine top player, right age, physically capable, gets around the pitch well, good variation in his passing, play as a 6 or an 8. Would be an excellent signing in fact but any links/move would probably be too good to be true. Be more PR from the wankers upstairs. Him, Caicedo & Fernandez/Palmer would be a very good midfield 3 - be it with a 6 & two 8’s or two 6’s & a 10. Him and Caicedo in particular would be excellent together I feel. Bring a real physicality and grit. I mean that Newcastle midfield 3 has got a bit of everything but he for me is genuinely the best out of the 3 of them. Would take Lewis Hall back too, doing very well at LB.

Perhaps but then again, you cannot afford to let guys like Garnacho & Hato in particular play as badly for as long as they did today. Yes he subs them at HT but should’ve been ruthless and done a lot earlier to no complaints. And maybe if he had, we get going a bit sooner because that left side was an absolute joke between Badiashile, Hato & Garnacho. I don’t think I’ve seen such a bad attacking performance from an individual player since Ramires v Man City under Rafa, honestly abysmal. Do agree he has to find time to rest them but West Ham is a derby match irregardless of their current standing. And notoriously, teams in the bottom half of the table are the sort of games we’ve really struggled with the past 3 + seasons or so due to going through the motions/underestimating the opposition/not being up for it from minute 1 etc etc. Again nothing changed. There isn’t sufficient quality or experience where he can leave the likes of Cucurella out knowing his replacement will comfortably perform because they’ve proven himself as reliable. Or someone like Pedro Neto or Joao Pedro. Which screams big problems given they aren’t exactly top elite footballers. But we’ve got the overlords to blame for that.

Just PR briefs to calm the noisy fanbase down. 4 wins on the board since and the cheque book has been put back into the safe lol.
-
and in the summer we offload disasi, tosin and badiashile if we get jacquet, we will have him, colwill, sarr and chalobah
-
It’s obviously a joke. If the club is fighting for a UCL spot, how exactly would they get relegated? A little bit of thought goes a long way.

It is between him and Enzo for our player of the season. Goes to show the team were right about him. He is one of the best shot stoppers in the league - if not the best.
-
Same, as long as he actually plays ahead of Badiashile and Tosin and isn’t given the Josh treatment. Its weird how we heard all this talk about how the club “is now ready to bring in a TOP level STARTING CB this window” and instead we’re just recalling one we already own from loan who may not actually be better than Acheampong who we already don’t even use. And whatever happened to our interest in a midfielder? Was it really Douglas Luiz or nobody?

We cant start every game like that! The first half was a mess. Everyone was all over the place. Either passes backwards or misplaced and the defence was just iffy. Glad we came out fighting though! I think the crowd reaction definitely help cause everyone was pissed off! There was one backwards pass that got a very big reaction! If we had say 15 point gap and could afford to try things out fair enough. But we havent! Liverpool are one below.Man U can go above if win tommrow now isnt the time to try things out when points matter
-
Can live with Sarr rather than nothing.
-
There was no basic context or a joke, you meant it, how about just holding your hands up and saying, yeah was abit of a dumb thing to say, rather than the old classic “it was a joke, you took it wrong” BS.
-
Joao Pedro is the closest thing since Drogba we've had. The man does it all. I'll keep saying it. He always scores in big games too. 5th in the league for goals and assists, and most of any summer signing.
-
Easy said, then when our main team is injured because we can’t rest them against bottom 3 West Ham, that’s the problem, cucu is a must for most games, hato should be fine, garnacho was horrific, fofana is injury prone but again bads was horrific! If we played our strongest team and won 3-0 ppl would say we should have rested x y and z
-
Anselmino looks on his way to Strasbourg after all which surely means Sarr coming in and no Jacquet.

Please, we have had a bit of fun, chill out

Firstly, I don't think we can claim to know for certain that he did change it. Secondly, I suspect there's more emphasis on the League Cup then we might expect.
-
Comparing an obvious football joke to ‘relegating a person to the bin’ is a weird leap, but sure. If this is what passes for ‘fun’, it says more about the tone here than about my original comment. I made a hyperbolic joke about a club, not a personal attack — basic distinction.
-
To be fair, I think he had to factor in that Pablo might get a touch and redirect it towards the centre of goal. This is what makes him a fraction late getting across to his right hand post.

Garnacho probably grouchy because he was probably expecting to start against Arsenal in the cup game, given the goals he scored in the first fixture. Moody player, and we knew that when getting him. Either he bucks up or he goes the way of Jadon Sancho.

Thats the thing we are losing to Arsenal so nice as be to win that league needs to be priority. Had we lost this then we could again slide down the table depending on others below us results so silly to risk

It's fun

Endorphins flying after that Enzo ripping his shirt off in front of us Shouldn't have been booked for that imo Players getting booked for taking their shirt off was brought in because sponsors were crying like babies their product wasnt been shown - we dont have a sponsor

I've said the same for Maresca too. Rotating the squad to grant minutes to specific players when possible, managing player minutes to prevent injury, those are more to do with club's policy and less to do with the manager. Managing player minutes to prevent injury is of course understandable when you have high caliber players like James and Palmer that you need to wrap them in wool. But the strange rotation, bringing in lackluster players like Tosin or Badiashile back into the line up, thats something we saw under Maresca too, when he would seemingly sacrifice the league game for a midweek cup fixture. I'm not calling Rosenior world class, but he has one saving grace, and that is correcting all the errors sooner rather than later. How many times have we seen Maresca wait till the 70th minute or later to even make 1 or 2 subs? In the end, regardless of who the manager is, we'll continue to see these large scale rotations with matches in the midweek. Thats the club policy.

As a mod, it is not fairplay for me to get involved via voting. I already said my piece and will leave it at that. ⚖️

I agree.Cucu is obviously better than Hato at this time but he would have struggled making up for Garnacho's Sunday league with a rum hangover type performance.
