  1. I think this guy will have the drogba effect. Not saying he plays like him, saying that he is such a freak athelete, that he will creat chances for himself and others. Once he improves his finishing and touch, the guy will be a monster.
  2. What about Stevan Jovetic? Would fit into our style, and has an eye for goal. I know he isn't a classic striker, but I think he would work out.
  3. A look at Essien's mistakes during the Dortmund game. http://realmadridtoday.com/essien-dortmund
  4. Did anyone outmuscle/jump to make crosses come to something? We need to keep the ball on the ground, and I believe that neymar fits into our new philosophy like a glove. I know it's just Iraq, but neymar had a beastly game as the striker, and played Oscar in for a goal. I'd like that at club level.

I don't think we will have Danny for long...

  7. He has all the skills to play there, he just seems to like to play he has always played, he wants to score. Lampard can make great passes but he has yet to dictate a game, and boss a midfield like we need him too. If this isn't sorted out soon than i am going to blame RDM's coaching skills. Lampard easily has the ability to be a great player in the pivot, he just needs to chane his game, needs to stay in the middle third ( so we always have a body, and try to snuff out the other teams midfield. and make sure he can be a passing option for both the attackers and defenders (so we can always keep posession of the ball and he can then recycle it back out). I am hoping he will start performing better or that we play some games in a 4-3-3.
  8. Wow I didn't know that. Would've cane in handy when my Arsenal friend was ragging on me about the affair JT had.
  9. That's also why we aren't good at footyball. Youth in Europe join clubs, like Chelsea who have state of the art equipment, and staff, who train these players supremely well. The compitition is fierce, but there are many clubs around the world with youth teams so they produce top talent. Our youth play college soccer which isn't that competitive and soccer is low on the prioty list of all colleges (Basketball and Football are just so much more popular.)
  10. America is different then the rest of the world. Our athletes can't get paid until they becone a professional. They can't become a professional until they get drafted. It is highly unlikely that they will get drafted unless they go to college. Unless another country starts producing the world class basketball/football players it will continue that way. The college system wouldn't work because footballers come from many nations, and those nations have been footballing for a very long time.
  11. Yeah I'm not a fan of hazard on the wings. Maybe a 4-3-2-1 would be better if we started mata and hazard, and a 4-3-3 if Marin and Moses are playing.
  12. I've seen Malouda play in the midfield in a 4-3-3 for France. So he can do a job there. Far from ideal, but if we are really in a bind...
  13. Have you seen the boy play? Hype or not, he has some SERIOUS skills. IMO him and hazard are the closest things to messi type of play. If he spent a couple of years in a better league he will be considered one of the best no doubt. He's just wasting his talent in brazil though.
  14. He will create chances for himself and everyone around him. Him and Messi are in a class of their own, and would be amazing if he were to come to the bridge. However it seems very unlikely. But I shall dream about it
