Got embarrassed a couple times today. Cabella and Sissoko got by him with ease.

He was left exposed throughout the first half by all of Azpi, Zouma and Matic. He had to dive into challenges at times because he knew he would get beaten for pace 10 times out of 10 against Cabella and Sissoko.

Not to say he didn't make any mistakes.

Kompany is always exposed with yaya, zabaleta, and kolorov bombing forward as is all the city cbs and the arsenal cbs..

Because chelsea setup protects the cbs, doesnt make them world class or top of the league cbs.

No, but defending consistently brilliant in Chelsea's system makes him one of the best in the league.

Defence is a TEAM game ,,, it starts with high pressing from Costa .. Oscar ,, Willian ... backed then by Matic ,,

BUT the back line is ORGANISED by Terry and NO ONE does that better ,, Still you will find something to carp about ...

True. As I said before, I never questioned leadership and organization, however, you have to admit, Jt is on his last legs and is slow and will be exposed on a grander scale sooner than later, which is why chelsea need 2 cbs soon

I have to agree. There's no question about JT's leadership and organization skills, but we're badly exposed on every counterattack. Because of our slow CBs, we can't play high line effectively and keep the initiative without risking to concede every time we lose the ball.

Terry is indeed a leader, but before that, he's a very good player and defender.

Jose would say he's the specialist in a very different category. :)
