Good player but think we could do with someone a lot more mobile and superior defensively. Funny how his status has skyrocketed since he played well against a 10 man Arsenal team though.

He is more than just a good player. He is a fantastic central midfielder. Matic - Kroos is just brilliant.

Kroos would be an insane signing, a Kroos - Matic pivot would be the best in the PL. Guy is insanely talented and has fantastic vision and is also a willing worker.

The only thing that I don't like in his game is his lack of pace, but apart from that if we managed to pull off a signing like this I'd be ecstatic.

Kroos, Ramires, Matic, MVG, Chalobah, RLC for the midfield in the future would be quality.

One positive about Kroos is against teams that park the bus.

He would probably be the best bet to shoot outside the box and score.

He would also solve our set piece deficiencies.

However, as I mentioned before, Kroos is really slow.

Hate to see him go to United but could he actually do what would be required of him in our midfield? We need an engine in that midfield, probably someone in the mould of De Rossi who can put in a shift and find a pass. Van Ginkel has shown flashes of being able to do that and he'll get all summer to rehab that knee and get into shape. Then there's the younger guys like Baker, Chalobah and Loftus-Cheek who are probably a couple of seasons away from being ready (Nat is the closest and I'm always inclined to throw his name in there).

Kroos is attractive because he's potentially available, but I'm not entirely convinced he's the right guy for us. Sure Matic can do a lot of the defensive work but he can also roam forward and pick a pass so why not get someone who can do the same to have a dynamic pivot?

The thing about Matic is that he can push forward as well as do his defensive duties. That to me is the modern midfielder, and I'm not entirely sure if Kroos can do that. Maybe we don't need that but it's certainly something to be considered if we're spending this much on a player.

I understand what you mean, but we already have two modern midfielders (possibly three if you want to add Nat to that) in MvG and Matic. It would be better if we could have a specialist playmaker in there in scenarios where we struggle to break down teams - Kroos would infinitely help in that regard.

Don't forget, he won't be too expensive either considering his contract is expiring in a year or so. He'd be available for a relatively fair price (i.e. £25m at most) which is fine.

With our current system I don't see Kroos getting many games against top teams and that's probably why he would dread coming here. He might not be used against teams who have good possession and long fast breaks, games where it doesn' take a fortune teller to figure out we'll have a midfield full of grinders.

25 would be the starting price, especially knowing that Moyes is going to make him the number 1 target.

If he was 25m, Arsene wenger would be all over him....

If the bavarians sell kroos, they will have a long list of suitors.. However, i highly doubt Kroos leaves.

Gundogan but his back injury and fitness concern is something to worry about...but if he can come back and recover fully from d injury...i ll be highly dissappointed if we didnt go for him in the transfer window...cos his price will be cheap and he is a fucking good deep-lying playmaker that that will complement the beast in matic by 200%...another option is Vidal but he will cost us heaven to price away from Juventus...while the likes of koke and witsel are also worth considering...

why not ander herrera? , creative , technically astute and very hard working in defence.

watched him vs valencia last night. controlled the game like modric would.
