He's at 7 goals in all competitions now... If he can bag 3 more before the New Year he's looking at 10 goals in half way through the season. So not as bad as people are making it out to be.

I'll definitely take his current level of contribution to the team + a goal/assist here and there. Just looked for a while that he couldn't finish a chance in open play to save his life lol. He can easily get to 20 goals this season. I still feel like he's gonna have a period where he scores a bunch of goals in a couple weeks. Just needs to get to that moment (imagine the wankfest) He usually plays his best football during from December - March. So this might be that "moment".

Its obvious he needs a rest tho. Hope he can get through the Newcastle game without too many signs of fatigue and god forbid an injury. A week off for him before the Hull (H) game and then hopefully another week off after that game. Keep it up, Eden

I wonder if since then, Jose has made him spend extra time on the training ground practicing his finishing or if he himself has done that... cuz his finishing was dire at one point.

No it wasn't typical. He would have normally fired the ball like a baby like he did in front of the keeper against Maribor /manutd. But against westbrom and now tottenham, more power which is too hot for the keeper to save. He has that in his locker and its criminal when he doesn't use it at times.

the power he put on the shot made it nearly impossible to be stopped. He did well.

Most of Costa goals are like that if you look closely. They're a bit deflected, but the power assures they get in.

Before people start blaming Hazard for the 2nd goal, please be fair and see where he lost the ball. It was in our own half almost. It was a very retreivable position but we failed to deal with it despite having so many bodies back. The entire midfield and defense were terrible there.

Hazard like many of our other players was trying to hard to force the issue after going a goal behind and got caught out. I won't crucify him for that at all. Instead, WHY we looked so clueless after going a goal behind is a much bigger problem.
