True_Blue 469
I know load of our fans hate him,but he brought us to the UCL final. We did have Steve Clarke too but surely Grant had a say considering he was the manager. When i remember 2008 we could have won the treble runner's up in UCl,the Premiership and Carling Cup if we did win all those people would think of him as a Legend.I like him but i also don't think he would suit the job well.I want Zola really bad

HRiver 1,512
Meh. Had John Terry scored that penalty, everybody would be calling him a legend. I don't hate the man, but I don't want to see him returning at the club.
Guest justin_3d
This shows how bad our club is running. Want to get rid of Carlo, and want to get Grant back in the club.....

Blue In Green 86
Meh. Had John Terry scored that penalty, everybody would be calling him a legend. I don't hate the man, but I don't want to see him returning at the club. This, pretty much. The logic here is visible; out of the list of managers Chelsea has had since Roman took over, Grant was manager the year we went to the final. (Personally, I think the strength of that side deserves more of the credit.) I thought his performance at Portsmouth last year was admirable, getting them to a cup final when the existence of the club was under serious threat and the side was clearly worse than some in the Championship. However, he crapped the bed with West Ham. On the basis of his performance this year, I don't want him here in any role.
HRiver 1,512
I think that Grant is one of the most unluckiest managers in football. I know that it's stupid to continue with the 'What ifs', but had we not conceded so late against Wigan in the league and had Terry scored that penalty, we would have won both the league and Champions League and Grant would remain a legendary name for Chelsea Football Club forever.Last season Boateng missed the penalty in the FA Cup final, probably had he scored things would've been completely different, but Grant has no luck at all. In my opinion, Chelsea are the unluckiest team and Grant is the unluckiest manager, and when both were together, well you know what happened in 2008. Sometimes it just doesn't happen. But offering him a job in the club now is stupid me thinks. The fans have nothing but bitter and sad memories when the name Avram Grant is mentioned. I'm hoping to God we don't get him again.
HRiver 1,512
Just noticed that it happened exactly three years ago, the Moscow final.

Styles 9,790
If this clown comes back in any capacity (even as a towel boy) I think I'll give up on football all together. Final nail in the coffin for me if this happens.
