Chelsea offer Grant quick return to football

Former West Ham manager Avram Grant has already been offered the opportunity to return to Chelsea, according to his agent.

But it seems neither that or a previously underwhelming spell as Chelsea manager has put off Blues owner Roman Abramovich, who has offered the Israeli the chance to return to the club in a technical role.

Agent Pini Zahavi - who himself has close links with Chelsea - revealed the offer, although he believes the former Portsmouth boss would prefer to return to the dugout in his next employment.

"Avram will be back working in football and he will have better times," Zahavi said, according to the Jewish Chronicle. "He has an offer from Chelsea but I'm not sure that he wants to work as a technical manager. He would rather be on the touchline."

It has always been between Grant and Guus for Arnesen's replacement. Doubt we can get Guus, so obviously next man in line is Grant.

About Txiki Begiristain (the former Barca director) I've not heard anything about him joining us since last summer, and honestly don't think that will happen either.
