Twickenham August 2017

Fordstam buying up remaining ownership and rented apartments including Ken Bates

Are you sure about this ? Because everything seems too quick for me ... I was expecting that this process will take 5-7 years.

Also, are Chelsea going to get this holly 60k capacity ?

Nobody can be 100% completely sure about anything when it comes to purchasing agreements, building regs, building permission etc etc when it comes to London councils.

But Fordstam are the new landlords of rented apartments and are speaking with current live in owners of other ones.

There has been talks with Twickenham by all accounts but nothing will happen until summer 2017 minimum.

So, it will take the other stuff to be in place first .....but the latest rumour is that as early as summer .2017 it could start.

However, everyone knows it only takes an objection here and there to kill the process which is why I should imagine the club are keeping quiet until pieces of the jigsaw fit.

P.S. the other rumour of using both Twickenham and Wembley is still out there because of residential issues at Twickenham

Just heard a bit more on this.

There's 3 options of moving out. 1 of them will be very controversial, but makes a lot of sense at the same time.

1. Twickenham - Seems the least likely of the 3 at the minute, but the option is there.

2. Wembley - We'd only get 50k seats whilst we're here, but more likely to happen than Twickenham

3. Boleyn Ground - They're hoping to redevelop the stadium into housing when West Ham move out and have this open by 2018 (We're hoping to move 2017/2018 season), so this will take a lot of persuading with the group that have brought it, but money towards the project will go a long way.

Obviously as fans we hate the prospect of moving to the old homes of one of our rivals from East London, but the club are looking at this option for the best. If we move to Twickenham or Wembley 70+% of the staff will have to be made redundant, whereas the majority of them will keep their jobs if we move here.

There'll apparently be an official statement made with decisions and designs in September, so we'll have to wait and see.

Why only 50k at wembley?

There will be regulations such as local resident issues etc ...Twickenham will have similar regulations with the amount of 'live' events that can be held there.

With reference to the above and West Ham ground.....there was also a rumour that they could be approached about the Olympic stadium share possibilities or the occasional match to tie in with Wembley and Twickers
