Wish we had someone like Foden instead of Mount, hopefully Callagher can be that guy.

I know Mount is going through a rough patch, and I agree he needs to be rotated with someone else, but we should still have more faith in our own players., and that they can improve. He's not even 24 FFS.

In the CL final we played, we had both Mount and Foden on the pitch and we know who delivered.

City as usual making United look like a pub team who can barely touch the ball. But also as seemingly always happens when these two meet they’re not killing the game off with all the chances they’re creating which means United will probably snatch at least a point with a couple of counters despite having like 15% possession.

this aged well

Once Arse have their inevitable collapse City are once again going to piss the PL. It’s just a joke now like the Bundesliga or Ligue 1 since Liverpool’s core is all past their best. Nobody is coming within 15 points of them this season.

The thing that makes me most jealous about them is that so many of the players they buy just seamlessly plug in and are brilliant almost immediately. Just about every other club needs time with their new players. The likes of Haaland and Akanji look like they’ve been there for 5 years.

Haaland is one of those strikers who you can't stop once he's in the final third. He's just too physical to deal with.

You can only hope to disrupt his rhythm further up the pitch, near the middle of the park, and even then that's difficult, because City have some excellent runners off the ball. He can easily release pressure by freeing them up and laying off the ball to them.

Attempting that will also require some strong CDM play from someone like a Makelele or prime Kante.

Tbh don't think they'll win the title..though saying that odd things happen and City have been iffy. But if they carry on like this way then set for 4th. The games they'd drop points in usually they have won..so far. Their signings are having a postive effect impact and their play is pretty decent to actually watch. Look like they have a game plan rather then endless wandering. Doesn't feel right to be 8 behind them

Yeah, the title is a stretch with City having the quality on display.

But would be surprised if Arsenal finish outside top 4.

What separates City from everyone else is the fact that every player knows exactly where they should be at all times. You see the same sorts of patterns in their attacking moves every game. It’s like second nature to them. They create brilliant chances at will because of this.

We’re starting to see it with Pep’s pupil Arteta just with much worse players.

Hopefully Potter can do this with us given enough time because he did it with Brighton.

Am I the only one bored by City and the narrative around them?

I really don't think having an unlimited bank account and a second team better than most of the top 4's first teams is some massive achievement. Am I the only one not impressed and don't think Pep is doing something any other manager could do with the buy in and support from owners.

Start throwing in a salary cap for football because it will only get worse.

It's hard for us to complain because of the sheer nature of our success but it is getting ridiculous now.

City do not even impress me with this fucker Haaland banging em in now.

Once Pep and KDB go... they won't be as dominant.

I guess you can spend as much money as you want but still got to get players to gel. We spent the most this summer and it's hardly paying off so far. Players who we have spent mega money on haven't lived up to their price tag. City seem to get lucky.

"Money" in football has changed. Sure we set a blueprint for things to come - but it was never like this. More so - the narrative and and outlook for players has changed.

When we were at the top and the best team in football, we would still get competition from the other big clubs - Real, Barca, Bayern, Man Utd for our current crop of players signatures, and at times we would see some of our best go to these clubs like Robben, etc.

City aren't like PSG, Real, etc. They are buyers by all means, but they buy to win. They don't care about big names and trying to make them work. They simply care about winning with funds spent. To the point that their second team would be considered more talented than nearly every other first team in the league.

I disagree with Pep and KDB leaving. They'll be just as good. They'll be the reason rule changes are brought in due to such long running success. And they'll never get pulled up for their "spending".

The money stuff doesn’t bother me at all anymore since every big club spends silly cash nowadays.

What annoys me is that none of the other big boys can get their shit together and make things interesting. It’s boring watching them dominate in a machine like manner year after year.
