Wayne Rooney

Exactly !! Rooney is a quite vocal lad.. Aside from saying that he's "angry and confused" at the whole 'he's not important' situation, we've heard nothing from him !

And I dont see why he doesnt want to put in a transfer request. If he stays, he'll be playing second fiddle and the United fans will be on his back because of this speculation of him wanting to leave.

Because he is too lazy to move. Rooney is a kid who never had to grow up . He just wants things to fix themselves so he does not have to think about his future. He is the one who wants a move the least. If a bid from PSG or Real with the same sum we offered came in, Utd would bite their hand off.

They are upset that Rooney's putting himself before the club? Really? This is a guy who wants to LEAVE the club. Of course he's putting himself before the club he no longer wants to be at.

I think an offer like 30M+5M if we win the league+5M if Rooney wins the golden boot would be fair.

a lot of papers now reporting about the dressing room rift...

ChelsTransferGossip @ChelsTransfer 1m

The result of a collision behind closed doors does appear to be a convenient way to keep Rooney out of the picture. #CFC #MUFC (Independent)

Telegraph reporting that Arsenal are still keen and that Rooney would still consider moving there.

Could you imagine? I absolutely wouldn't put it past Fergie or Moyes to personlly call Wenger and offer them Rooney for less than what we offer. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

I would be upset with that. But I don't think even Rooney can be enough for Arsenal to win The League and doubtfully even the FA Cup or League Cup. I guess I could see him wanting to go as a last option. But to me I can't imagine the prospect of going from a club that is competing for several trophies a year and typically winning one to a club that hasn't won a trophy since before Twitter was started being very appealing to a player like Rooney.

I think some clubs are holding onto hope that he can be forced or persuaded elsewhere. But Lewandoski has stated so many times over that he wants to move to Bayern and Klopp has even said he's accepted that will happen. I like the guy but I wouldn't want him playing for us if that's not what he wanted to do.

When united stop saying he is not for sale, the price goes down....

Dalglish "Torres is not for sale, he will remain at Liverpool, end of story" January 29th or something after a £25m ish bid is rejected

31st January Fernando Torres joins Chelsea for £50m.

And yes, Torres also made a transfer request, which is what Rooney needs to do, and probably knows this is his next step
