Dedication.We now live together and have a kid. Put the effort in!My husband and I spent a summer living 700 miles (1100 km) apart when we were dating and again when we were first engaged. We saw each other once a month and only for two days. If it is meant to work it will be worth fighting for and worth the travel you'll need to do to be together.We have spent several months living in different states and countries before each of our moves. The longest was 9 months when I was finishing university and he was transferred. My son and I stayed in Massachusetts while he moved to Pennsylvania (which doesn't sound bad until you realize he was on the far west side of the state!). We survived and it has made us appreciate each other all the more.By the way, we have been together almost 21 years ( gasp, I know longer than some of you have been alive!) and happily married for 18 years. Come on, I didn't give my number to her, then she comes after me, texts me till 7:00 a.m almost everyday, invites me to some party, greets me with a hug and a kiss on my neck and then she's all about how she loves her boyfriend but she finds me great later?Why didn't she leave me alone? Did you get any rank? What was your specialty? Asking bcs I also finished military service though it lasted a year Was a combat medic, by rank I'm corporal, but medicine has always interested me so now I'm in med school and after finishing catastrophic medicine course ill get promoted to ensign - one rank below 2nd lieutenant.
