Speaking of his book. When Carlo met Roman he said to him that Chelsea needs different players. I doubt that Roman buys players without Carlos knowing. He said in the summer that he would welcome Torres in his squad.

Which coach would turn down Torres if his owner said to him that he will sign him?

I hope your right but i`m not 100% sure about Carlo`s approve. Abramovich really wanted to sign Torres, he has chased him since 2008, and now he succeeded. But i`m confident there is a masterplan behinds this

deal, summer will tell.

Yeah exactly, especially in the game at home to United. He did more in 15 minutes than Malouda managed in the rest of the game. The thing is with Zhirkov, is that he's blabbering on about wanting to leave if he doesn't get played enough, when he should be training harder to fight for a place. If Malouda is playing in his position week in, week out, and he's sitting on the bench, then surely he'll want to train extra hard and impress Carlo enough to give him a place in the team. That's the idea of competition at the end of the day. That's what you want within a squad so that they can perform well with the other players.

Yep exactly. They're a testament to that "2 players per position" rule Mourinho liked to have.

In terms of Zhirkov's performance, I just hope Blackpool was an "off-game" for him. Hope he gets another chance vs Copenhagen. He owes Carlo a good performance for being rewarded a start.

Watching thte La Liga highlights on sky sports, the presenter said it was confirmed Abramovich was over spain to reform an old friendship with mourinho and that Ancelotti is out in the summer, basically meaning Mourninho is coming back. Obviously this can be just typical bull shit, but just putting it on as a note, i really do not know what has been said and what hasn't, media is so twisty.

Seems abit odd someone would say that in La Liga highlights, i know he';s manager of Real Madrid.. but why even bother saying it when hes just part of Media and has no clue of whats going on behind the scenes..

I think they are forming the relationship with Mourinho, but not in the summer.

Mourinho has not won nothing at Madrid, and he can't leave without winning nothing for Real Madrid. He will leave as a coward and a looser. And that is not Mourinho Ego.

Give him 2 or 3 more years. Better yet is for him to finish his contract, and Carlo to stay at Chelsea for that same amount of time. Then Mourinho can come back and Carlo go to Roma.

Gourlay's take, from SkySports.

Blues refuse to confirm Carlo

Gourlay stops short of staying Ancelotti is staying

Ancelotti: Contracted through 2012

Chelsea have refused to confirm whether Carlo Ancelotti will still be manager next season, stating only that he is contracted through 2012.

Although the Italian guided the Bluesspacer.gif to a superb Premier League and FA Cup double in his first season, they have struggled to replicate their league form this time around.

The West Londoners have progressed to the UEFA Champions Leaguespacer.gif quarter-finals after getting the better of FC Copenhagen, but they were eliminated from the FA Cup by Evertonspacer.gif on penalties.

When questioned whether Ancelotti would still be at the helm next season, chief executive Ron Gourlay stated he was under contract but that it is important the club keep progressing every season.

Delighted

"All you can say is that Carlo has a contract with the club until 2012," said Gourlay. "We're delighted with Carlo and what he's achieved so far.

"These things can be pretty fickle. Carlo has come in and won the double last season.

"Yes, the expectations are high, but they are high at many clubs around Europe and we've got to be realistic. Let's see where we are at the end of May."

"Carlo is a world class coach," he added. "You look at his record and it speaks for itself.

Great feat

"His record at Chelseaspacer.gif in a short time, winning the double in the first season in a new league, coming out of Italy, is a great feat.

"This is a strong, competitive league, but his knowledge of the game is second to none and he holds a dressing room well.

"We understand it is very, very difficult to win trophies every year. What's very important for this club is to be competing for trophies in the latter stages of every competition.

"We're realistic. You can't win the double, you can't win the treble every year. But we want to see progress in the club every year. We're happy with the way it's going this season."

This is so unbelievably disrespectful by Gourlay it's ridiculous. Whether you're a fan of Ancelotti or not, this is the kind of thing that should wait until the end of the season, not bang in the middle! Carlo does not deserve to be publicly told his job is in doubt, that's a private issue between the Club & Ancelotti.

We're lucky he's such a composed man, any other would've walked out based on that.

I read the thing and don't see nothing wrong with that.

It's basically saying they will wait till the end of the season to judge. Which is good, then as to what they did to Scolari in the middle of the season.

If Chelsea finish in 3rd place and win the CL, believe me he will stay at least till his contract is over.

I just don't see the logic in making such things public. It just gets the media circus excited, for them to start implying (strongly) that Carlo is definitely gone at the end of the season. As if we didn't get enough negative publicity!

You should know that press manipulates things for the stuff they like.

For me this says enough into how our club is going:

A recording of the Gourlay interview.

Incredible how they manufacture that headline out of it.

As I said, paper only report on the stuff they find convenient.

For me it stand on the word that he said he was happy with our current standing. And that for me is a lot, as this is the worst we did in a long time. It shows that the club knows what went wrong, hint hint Ray, thin squad, and trying to play a lot of youngster at once.

And that they totally believe in Carlo to get us through. It is why they did not fire him in the middle of the season and won't fire him at the end of the season.

Last I hope this put to bed about the nonsense about Drogba:

He added: "I don't see Drogba leaving at all. We're talking of strengthening team not weakening it. It's absolutely not the case."

I stated over and over again, that it was stupid to talked about, and that media made up that stuff to sell paper. Drogba will stay as he is a legend just like Terry and Lampard.

The one who i still see leaving is Anelka. And that is ok with me. If he can come to the MLS and we get a nice fee it will be good for our Chelsea, and our MLS...Americans wise. :)
