Well at least we know there's intent. It seems our only real deal that's being negotiated (in the eyes of the media) is Pienaar's, even though Carlo's gone on record saying we need a centre back.

Intent is not good enough, there was plenty of it in the summer and we even spent £30 m yet went on to have to worst season since Roman took over.

The reassuring this is that the media don't know much about Chelsea's deals. During the summer they had Abramovich flying with his chopper to bid 80m for Torres and in the end all our deals came out of no-where. I'm just hoping the next deal is going to be a positive surprise.

Our philosophy at the end of the season was, because a lot of players were at the end of their contracts, to change our way and to give opportunity to the young players to grow from the Academy.
