the most probable scenario:

carlo will start the same line up and lampard won't be available for tottenham's game and in this case our results will be :

lose vs tottenham , lose vs man utd , win vs arsenal (well , even now they can't score against us)

but hopefully there will be another scenario and that one simply is Lamps will be back in time and our front 3 will be malouda Drogba and sturidge/kakuta

we will secure at least 7 points by drawing against totenham and winning against arse and man utd

Expecting all our problems will just disappear when Lampard returns is unrealistic and unfair. Your expecting too much from him and overrating his quality and influence. Frank is good, very good but he can't perform miracles. And i'm not even talking about the fact that he's been out for months and that he wasn't in great form before the injury.

If we beat them with Frank in the side, it's not just because he's back. (Unless he scores a hattrick )

our main problem lately is that when we have the ball at our feet we seem to not know what to do with it !!! that is a very serious problem that has resulted in us conceding many goals and have very small amount of scoring opportunities . and here comes lampard . one of the best players in the world in distributing the ball knowing when to slow things down and when to rush things .

i am not saying he is the answer to all of our problems but he is the answer to our biggest problem . you can watch the goals we conceded lately and mostly they were because a midfielder (mikel or ramires) has lost possession from a bad position but usually with lamps on the field he is available for the pass , and then send one of our front 3 or a.cole to a good attacking place .

also we seem to look lost in midfield and we are not dominating games from midfield as usual because malouda and zhikov are not CMs while ramires is not an attacking CM nor is essien or mikel so in other words we need better positioning , more commitment and to be more organized in our play .

keeping all that in mind lamps will at least double our chances of getting 6 points or more from those games if he is back

The fact that nobody off the ball moves (intelligently) is a bigger problem and doesn't help those, like you mentioned, need time to pick a good pass at all. If our attacking players move the same way they did today against Tottenham, Frank won't be able to do a thing (when it comes to passing).

That area really needs to be sorted out together with the slow starts, which didn't happen today and absolutely can't at White Hart Lane.

and then again one of many qualities that lampard posses is his smart movement off the ball in the final third and connecting defense with midfield and attack when he drops back .

i am not saying he will single handily get us the points but he will be a great help and may fix a lot of problems .

Agreed. The right side must be packed with Essien, Bosingwa & Malouda on defensive duty. This squad must be heavily defensive imo

Usually the game i look forward the entire season for,we will have Lampard fit for this one as it seem's.But if we play like against Everton we will get raped.Our 4-3-3 usually doesn't work against teams that have 4 or in Everton's case 5 midfielders with us having Mikel,Malouda and a blind butterfly called Ramires.

So we will probably play:

Lampard-Mikel-Essien

Malouda-Drogba-Anelka

Looks good,but on the other hand it looked good against Everton too and we didn't perform.

We shouldn't fear Bale. Let him come at us, it opens up space for us to play in. A good thing is that we're playing away from home so they'll attack and finding space won't be a problem. But our passing should be perfect. Cannot afford misplaced passes. We're long overdue a win. Don't forget, it's a derby, form goes right out of the window (atleast I'm hoping it does )
